I bought a 2002 C240 in 2008 with 70k on it, it started having problems in 2015 with about 240k...I barely done anything to it except an alternator 🤷🏾‍♂️ that's pretty reliable

KingPrince i’m thinking about getting a C240 with about 190,000 miles on it. did you have to do any engine work on yours? or just the alternator?

I have one of these in shoreline gold. Such a quiet cabin and a smooth drive. Handles well in all weather. Heavy car too.

This video was so terribly unhelpful. It was not a review of the vehicle aside from advising there is legroom in the back seat. I've just acquired a 2002 C240 automatic and here are my concerns: instrument cluster is still '90s feel; no notification if your lights are on (in automatic position); considerable lag coming from a stop, but good acceleration after the lag; door seals have cracked easily; no lumbar support for driver or passengers; seat adjustments are limited; a bit of a plastic feel on many parts of the dashboard; the LED instrument cluster notifications has weak circuitry and can go "dark" quickly making everything difficult to read; the only clock is in the LED cluster; plenty of legroom in both front and rear; spacious enough boot for a C-class; plastic headlamps begin to "fade" quickly due to road debris scratching it and requires a polishing (unlike glass).

I agree a terrible review this was....It was the just the driver going on and on about how he likes it and the colour combo your worded review was 10 X better !

Apocalyps 90’s look but hidden features has electronic dipstick shows how many pints are low. Can check mileage engine temp. Just like most cars only thing missing is tire PSI

You can fix the lag By checking the fuel pump and lines

I just bought a C240, 2002, for £1000. Its ok. I don't know if this was compared to the BMW 3 series in the video, but compared to my old BMW 5 series (E39) I would rather have the BMW. Unfortunately ols E39s are expensive now, old W203s are cheap. I say its my 'Chrysler in drag'.

Nice motor ! this video was the deciding factor on me buying a c240 Elegance . i chose this over the bmw because of room and you get allot of car for the money . mines got 70,000 miles on the clock has been very well maintained ! not quite as smooth as my wifes xj8 4.2 salloon but allot better on fuel ! it's kind of funny but i,m going to really find it hard to part with my hyundai coupe siii 2009! i may do a review first as it doesn't get the credit ! . this is not a full on expert review you dummies its a show about buying a used car the driver was a prospective customer not an expert mines a y reg approx 2001 it has 145000 miles and runs great my only gripe is it is fairly thirsty seems to drink a bit more fuel than my 1996 e320 petrol that i used to own

Hello Guys, I need your urgent help as i have bought C240 2002 model with 85k on meter reading. Overall car is a fantastic piece but there is a irritating vibration in it during idle or driving. I replaced its mounting and shocks with the new ones but still the problem is there. Please Please help me out to get rid of this irritating vibration. Awaiting fruitful responses !
