Hello everyone, Here is a "how to" video on resetting a oil interval light on a 2003 Mercedes Benz C320. If you can't get it the first time try again nothing bad is going to happen :)Please rate, comment and subscribe. Thanks
I tried this on a 2002 E320 and once at the Service B screen was up, I held R button for 5 seconds and it was just like your video.. Confirmed reset and turned the car off - then back on and option A in 10,000 miles... This video saved $65 and a day without the car.. THANK YOU VERY MUCH for posting.
Thank you very much for the kind words. We have a saying at work "Were here to help". Please keep watching I will post more maintenance reset on other vehicles in our lot ;)
Hi! I believe those are "Lifetime Transmission Fluid". But you might want to try a handheld pump with a nozzle. We try not to service the transmission on Benz.
for those of us who want to actually reset oil, NOT the whole entire service, here's how it works. Insert key into ignition, switch to position “1“. Press buttons or repeatedly until the mileage is displayed within the multifunction display. Press cluster illumination button (1) 3 times in short succession. The battery voltage will be displayed and an audible signal will sound. Cluster illumination button is on the left side of the cluster, not on the steering wheel. Turn key in ignition to position “2” Press the up / down buttons on the left side of the steering wheel until the service menu appears. Press cluster illumination button (1) once. The Oil Type menu is displayed. Use the and buttons to select the oil used for the service. Press the up / buttons to confirm. The display will show: “Reset Oil Confirmation. Push R-Button for 3 seconds”. Press and hold the cluster illumination button (1) for 3 seconds. The message “Service confirmed” is displayed.
Oh so one should refrain from draining, flushing and filling a 722.6 auto trans? My 06 C280 is coming up on 120,000 kms and people say I should change the fluid every 60,000kms.
Hey hun. No I don't own any of the cars I reset the interval on. I work at my families auto repair shop. I love working on cars and driving them lol ;-)
@SstunaJ unfortunately we have not gotten one here at the shop. But I can email you the guide if you like. Private message me your email please. Thanks.
