Thanks for the video I need to change my blower motor is well there's not a lot of information on 2002 maxima Repairs keep up the good work and keep making videos on your 2002 Maxima
Thanks for the video we have a 2003 nissan maxima, and the fan blower motor just quit, it was making terrible sounds for a while, we knew it was going to happen. a mechanic quoted me $180, and I can't afford that now. I saw a blower motor on ebay for 34.99 and free shipping. I will check your link though. I like amazon better. Your video was very informative. I'm motivated now to go pull out the old motor. thanks :)
Thank you for what you do. I was able to replace the blower motor easily the only difficulties were the screws😂. Do you have a video on the blower motor receiver ?
Good video, but a couple of things. As you learned it's easier to remove the 2 screws at the bottom corners of the glove box first. The top 4 screws across the top should all be black and the same. Thank you for showing them (most videos don't), but I suppose some one put in a wrong screw. The white connector/light assembly on the right just twists a quarter turn to the right I believe if you want to replace the bulb. Lastly, from my experience, A LOT of cars have bright yellow connectors that are for an airbag. You disconnected the negative battery terminal (which is good), but on this car you simply have to pinch the 2 plastic pins with pliers to push the yellow airbag connector assembly out of the mount without disconnecting it (which is recommended). Good luck.
I just bought a 2003 infinity I 35 and the blower was making a sound when I took it for a test drive. Figured it was a leaf or something because it sounded like a stick in the spokes. Told the guy to knock of $200 because I would need to take it to the shop to get it fixed. I knew it wouldn't be much to fix. That leaf you found might have been the problem but while your in there, might as well swap it out with a new one.
Gr8, Looks like similar process for 2001 maxima as well. I wouldn't of disconnected the Yellow connector like that unless battery was disconnected, that one is for the Air Bag. and after disconnecting it you might get a air bag light come on.
GOOD VIDEO !!!!! Mine just went bad today. It was making a noise since i got the car in december of 2012. maxima's are great cars, i drive a tow ruck and i barely have to tow maxima's. only major repair i had to do on the car which left me stranded was a bad throw out bearing for the clutch. that goes bad from drives that hold the clutch down at lights to much...
KEY 2: On the Glove Box Removal. The Bottom Right is:LAST - OUT.FIRST - IN. But not screwed all in.This is because the Glove Box must Fit BETWEEN the:Door Frame Molding and theMetal Bracket that you screw into.Coming out, you can get bye with Jiggle.Going In, you need to angle it around until it drops in between.
KEY -- Make sure that the replacement Motor / Mount is place IN FLUSH on the BIG CIRCLE and on the THREE screw hole Guide Holes and Pegs on the Casement. This is easy to miss. and one of the screws won't bite. I ended up partially screwing in the bottom on that was harder to see. And then Banging the two top ones in Place. Fortunately, this is more easily understood if you study the assembly.
I have a 2001 Maxima and my air was working fine this morning. The air stopped blowing so I immediately thought it was the resistor that went bad because it happened before in a different car. I changed the resistor and it's still not blowing anything. Could it be anything else besides the blower motor?
I took out an acorn i put it back together and doesnt blow at all, i bought a new one and nothing no air some sites say its the resistor i bought a resistor and nothing i already spent a lot any help?
link375 i went through all that mess already it turned out to be a burned fuse because the motor was over working too much due to the damn acorn so thanks and give thumbs up for those who cant fix the problem it might be a burned fuse yw in advance 😎
My 2003 Nissan Maxima AC sometimes will just stop blowing cold air. Do you know where I can find instructions to troubleshoot the unit to pinpoint the problem (blower motor, fuse, or compressor)?
