we own a 1999 quest. its survived 4 accidents, and traveled us about 175000miles. its still going strong. nissan knows how to build cars to last!!

Believe it or not, this car is my dream car. Definitely not that it’s the best car out there, but it gave me the best driving experience I’ve ever had. I’ve never felt so comfortable while driving, and I think it’s because of the amount of leg space I had. I love not feeling confined. There’s no middle compartment down at the feet separating driver from passenger, and I can’t believe how hard it is to find another car model that has that. The closest thing was the Honda Odyssey and no, it’s just not the same or better at all.

I've never seen a quest like that before, only ones that look similar but with slight differences on the front end and the back. Great to see the inside of one of these. Love these in depth tours so much!

My uncle used to drive a Quest just like this, in the same color. It was a pretty awesome car! Especially the radio in the 3rd row seats (dreams)

Gotta love late 80's and 90's Nissans, most had the VG engine, one of the most reliable engines i've ever encountered. we had 1986 maxima wagon with 270,000 miles but we sold it, i miss it till this day!

My family had a 1994 nissan Quest when we still lived in New York. It was a very reliable car. we sold it with 290,000 miles, and it still ran like it was new!

That is what I was wondering, after looking at the instrument panel. It is almost identical to a Ford Econoline, right down to the wheel mounted shifter and foot e-brake.

I would have never guessed Mercury's sister minivan would be the Quest by not Mazda or Ford, but Nissan!

The interior in some ways looks very similar to the Ford Windstar as well.

@pjtart wrong, this van is all nissan, nissan engine, trans, suspension, design, and so on. nissan made the mercury villager.

Another thing you could do with the seats is remove the center buckets and slide the rear bench foward along the tracks.

I know this video is old but who ever had that car before kept it in good condition… even with it being at 97k miles it was 11 years old which means the were putting less than 10,000 miles a year and it was clean on the inside

@pjtart ok i am an idiot, ford DID make the platform for the 1st and 2nd generation quest,but the engine and everything else was nissan. the 3rd gen quest was all nissan. i apoligize.

I think that the Nissan Skyline Engine might not even fit and work under the hood of this van so I have now decided to get a VQ35DEHR engine instead out of a Nissan Murno SUV and try to find one in a junk yard here in Edmonton and I want to get the front wheel drive and not the AWD and then even swap in the five speed automatic transmission as well everyon
