Andrew Nesbitt and James O’Brien were fastest on all but 2 of the 18 stages of the 2002 Killarney Rally of the Lakes to win by well over a minute from Eamonn Boland, but that doesn’t quite tell the whole story of the event. Technical issues on Saturday had left Nesbitt over a minute and half off the lead and down in 5th place with Derek McGarrity leading the pack. Under pressure, McGarrity punctured on Sunday as Nesbitt hammered in the times to surge to the head of the field to take his sixth win on the bounce. This show also covers highlights from the Group N and Modified runners.
