I have to tell you, this was one of the easiest auto repairs, I've ever done. Just follow the video and order the part like he says. Mine cost $ 35.88 from Rock Auto, and I got it in 3 days. It went together like a snap, in less than 7 minutes, and works perfect. my local repair place quoted me $ 165.00 for this job, and the local auto parts house was over $ 67.00 for the switch. I couldn't be happier. Thank you so much.
How much does something like the cost to have done? My entire panel is practically hanging off and one of the switches isn’t working I believe it is the driver side rear switch. Also where did you order your parts from?
Rasheedah Williams If the door panel is hanging off just grabbing replacement clips will sort that out. Those can be had for $2-3 a piece from your local dealership. There should be roughly 6-10 of them. If the tabs on the door panel itself are broken then you will need to source a used door panel with good tabs. A used door panel will probably run you anywhere from $50-150. As far as the window switch I bought this one from rockauto.com I tend to shop there mostly unless I need something ASAP then I will get it locally.
Rasheedah Williams For a shop to handle replacing the switch they will charge their minimum shop labor rate ($90-180 depends on where you live and the shop) plus parts.
I can raise and lower passenger window with driver's switches but not passenger switch. Just replaced switch and that didn't solve the issue. Any other suggestions?
Your panel that holds the switches is broken....only reason you got it off easy. Otherwise you need to pull black trim just above as there should be no lateral play.
