A NHTSA Full-Overlap Frontal Crash Test at 35 Mph (56 Km/h). Both occupants are 50th percentile male Hybrid III dummies.
These ratings only apply to 2003-2010 models, but crashworthiness applies to all 2003-2011 models. The final generation Panther-platform cars did not receive a rating under NHTSA's 2011+ program.

You just can't beat a full boxed frame. Kept the cabin from collapsing around the passengers. That's why I own a 05(P71)retired cruiser, it just wont die.😎

The new Dodge Charger cracked the windshield when hopping a curb. Discontinuing the Panther was a mistake.

@@moistest_kkritic3L Starting some 40 years ago the Ford Crown Victoria/Interceptor, Mercury Grand Marquis/Marauder, and Lincoln Town Car, were all built on the same platform, in the same factory, essentially the same car. This shared platform was known as The Panther Platform. With so many years in production it had become an immensely reliable, affordable, and trusted workhorse amongst police forces, cab drivers, and the elderly. It was discontinued in 2011 with no replacement.

I own a 03 Crown Vic and a 06 Grand Marquis..love them both..had a 92 Grand Marquis..along with a 77 LTD..its just what l drive..they tough and dont wank out..

If cops used these, they needed to have safety by 2nd place. Edit: i have just read the description and noticed both Passenger and Driver got 4/5 stars, WOW!
