I absolutely love the BMW Z4. This is the best walk around of this car that I've seen so far on RU-vid. You showed this car not like a salesman, but like what a serious buyer wanting to look at every detail. Kudos to the guy shooting the video.
This is a 2003 grey Mr Z4 2.5i Mr had another Z4 it was a 2004 but it was a 3.0 this one is an 03 it is a silver exterior it has a leather interior with twin tips at the back it uses a twin pipe system it's a 2.5 l inline 6 cylinder with a business radio with brushed aluminum trim on the dash this is the first generation Z4
Ive got this but with way better wheels. Anyone thinking of buying should get one. It always puts a smile on my face when I drive. I prefer this shape than the newer on.
Consumer Reports rated this model as above average on reliability (except for the 2004 model, which was rated as below average). I believe it gets 18 mpg city, 27 highway. Not sure about insurance cost, but it is a convertible roadster, so I'm sure the insurance cost would be higher than a typical coupe or sedan.
I passed my test last month. I'm 44. Long story. I'm paying £750 for fully comp with my partner as a named driver on my 2006 z4 2.5 si in the UK. No idea what kind of reference point that gives but I thought it was worth sharing. Luv and Peace.
My father has the 2008 2.5SI model with the same gearbox but with paddle-shifters behind the steering wheel. It also has bucket seats, wood trim and no cup holders. :( Specs: 2.5-litre straight six, 214bhp, 0-60mph in 6.7 seconds and 148mph.
@pjtart Yea. Most BMWs have inline-sixes rather than V6s. As for fuel efficiency, I'm not really sure, but I'm guessing it's probably the same between the I6 and the V6.
Has any one been in the 2.0L coz i may be getting one for my first car but want to know more bout the engine and whether its a nice engine or not before I really get serious bout getting one.
Gabriel Aiello No, it's not. None of the standard Z4's used the same engine as the e46 M3. However, BMW did make a Z4 M Roadster from 2006-2008, and it did have the same engine as the M3.
10 years late, but since the Saturn Sky/Pontiac Solstice are domestic cars and are way cheaper to maintain and simpler those would be the way to go. If you want something way cooler..Z4.
Why suspicious Alex Moreau? 22k in 8 years is ok if it was a second or third car. My Z3 was one of a few cars I owned at the same time and only came out in summer. I was lucky to do 3000 miles in 3 years that I owned it. I sold it because it didn't get enough use. A lot of people buy cars like this as a toy and they don't get a lot of use. In any case as an experienced car owner and buyer you should be able to assess a vehicle by looking at it and driving it, and if you can't, get someone to do it for you.
If i ever see anyone purchase a bmw z4 (z3) with an auto i will consider the world has ended. I mean seriously, front engine, rear wheel drive, 2 seats, soft top, and auto. Somethings not right there. BTW do those come with a LSD?
