I still have mine and I love it 🥰. My dream is to be able to keep it perfect forever, my father wanted it for me and to see me enjoy t. I’ve been enjoying and loving my Z for like 16 years now!
@@alanvlobos Can be expensive to run & not particularly reliable. I own the same car as featured here, colour, engine, 2003 with 36k miles. I will never sell it, but always expect something to be replaced.
I have a 2006 Z4 3.0si with 17k miles. It's amazing, fun and a hoot to drive. Cheap car to have some hooligan times. Great review but no problems with my automobile so I'll just keep enjoying it. Monaco Blau with Tan interior rocks.
I owned a 2003 330Ci with a similar inline-6. It needed an oil top-off every few months. The service advisor at Beverly Hills BMW told me “It’s a high-performance engine. It’s normal for it to burn a little oil.” I was shocked, then just accepted it as the cost of owning a BMW.
Thanks for sharing your insights on the car, I'm looking at these in the UK and learned a lot of new things in this video! POV video that was really helpful too. For the age of the car it looks a wonderful example, and in general I think the styling has stood the test of time. And that engine bay was so clean! Hope your day/week got better after recording this too - but a great selling point at the end where you seem to cheer up as you approach the redline!
I’ve been slowly shopping for the previous model Z3 as I really prefer the muscular look of that 1st gen body, but in that gorgeous blue, this is a fantastic looking car. May have just broadened my search. Great looking car.

I think it’s called Maldives blue. Monaco blue was a very dark blue similar to carbon black almost. The latter Z4’s were available in Montego or Monaco blue but the 03-05’s had Maldives blue as the loud blue color. Pretty sharp with any interior combo in my opinion. Very clean example here!
The other Blue color offered by BMW in this year 2005 model , is called Toledo Blue. I have one . Great car, mine is the 3.0 six speed . I still have it, and at 12 years old still runs beautifully. I have babied it, it looks new, low miles. Not a car you want to drive in heavy rain. 😁I am keeping until I can’t remember how to shift the gears... yes, forever!
yup, It's Maldives Blue and your Zed is in remarkably good shape with nice appointments. The power hydraulic top motors tend to die on these cars..mine has been replaced 2X. expensive fix, labor intensive, entire top hs to be removed, the motors cost about 500 bucks. Other than that, these are great cars for the money.
Won't lie, if the motors ever gave out on me I'd probably just lock the top in the up position and leave it. At least for a while until I got around to fixing them.
@@danijelbenjak8543 it depends on the additives Viscosity wise i would recommend 5w-40 or 0w-40 Where are you from? In germany we got some good oil companies Rowe, ravenol and many many more!! You can visit oil forums, excellent advce there
@@Krezo200 Thank you for your reply. I am from Croatia, but working in Austria currently. I did a quick research on the Oil-club.de and found Meguin megol 4809 Super Leichtlauf 5W-40 as very affordable and good oil (in range with Liqui Moly but cheaper).

Lol i have a v8 swapped miata and a project miata that im building a Kart out of..im not really a European car guy but i just got a smoking deal on a z4 today and i have to say i like the refinement.. luxury and feel for a everyday type car ...i use the miatas for fun and the bmw will never match the miatas fun.. but i do like it!
