It was not a slow pitch but a dead trap for the batsmen. Hence this ground gives the best matches of that tournament. It was one of my favourite pitch and ground . Low scoring beauties happened here . This was real cricket . Not today's only batting shit😊

Bowling low full tosses to Klusener from around the wicket with a long on and deep straight mid wicket was a good way to get him out. He wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, he'd just swing the bat without looking at the field

We lost only one game against Aus in this WC before to the final game where we batted first, also we won many crucial games with big opponents like Pak, Eng & NZ when we batted second. Reason for the loss we should have bowled a little slowly when they batted brilliantly in the 1st 10 overs. Though we lost it was the greatest WC tournament for the Indian cricket team ever for all 90's kids to follow the cricket...
