nope. just forgetting to put the spring back on making me think throttle response changed dramatically lol...

u cant find any crown vic sports in the junkyards? I dont junkyards and most people even know there was a crown vic sport.... so its hard to find parts especially these leather bucket seats

The fins on the gasket are for the drive by wire cars and aren't needed for an '03

I used to have an SCT thing that would put known tunes but really all it was doing was increasing the shift points and removing the limiter. putting the P71 ecm in my car got that for $50 though and eliminated the stupid key PATS system. I'm guess the reason is 05+ are drive by wire. but still you would think there are never ending lines of people with 4.6l mustangs below 05 that get tunes

bobspurloc ya that was my thoughts on it. It just doesnt seem to exist. I found one guy that was promising, and had a web page stating he tuned 03s but apparently someone got cancer in his family and he couldnt do if anymore.

oh. did you check on crownvic.net? I forgot there is at least one person there i believe that will tune cars to use the bigger MAF sensor. I think one is Lonnie at www.blueovalchips.net/

I don't think it did. I think people who think it did aren't realizing that the pedal/throttle is in a different position so your foot memory is now off and wrong. aka your foots memory of 1/4 throttle is actually more than that. I am not even noticing that foot memory difference anymore as I think I adjusted to it. this added distance is due to that thick plate that is used with this throttle body. It's not required so I don't know the point of it. maybe if I had an 80mm maf I would notice an actual different? but that required a tune to use for my 2003

@@bobspurloc adtr.net claims a gain of 8-12 hp with the bbk 70mm throttle body assuming you went from a 65mm to 70. But going from 70mm to 75 should be the same deal

Well 8-15HP this throttle body is a 75mm. I don't think anyone has proven this on a dyno at crownvic.net Like I note, anyone who installs one and instantly thinks OMG what a difference, either forgot to hook the spring back up to create back pressure on the gas pedal or installed a spacer without adjusting the cable to put the gas pedal back to its original location. Not doing these 2 things make you think the car has more power simply because your foot is applying more gas than your brain thinks its asking for. if cant understand what I am saying then go to your throttle body right now and take the spring off. get in the car and drive it. your first touch of the pedal u will be like OMG!!! that spring removal added 15hp WOW!

if you added a tune with the bigger 80mm MAF then it's possible a different will be truly seen. or if you car is already tuned for the 80mm MAF

I installed a 75mm from summit I reset the computer by disconnecting the negative battery pole taking a tiger clip from the negative battery while it it is off and connecting it to the positive pole. The positive pole remains connected to the battery. Letting stay the about 10 min to drain all modules. Also remove that plastic piece in the throttle spring. Keeps the spring to stiff.

ooops! it's wider than the stock throttle body ah stock is 65 this is 70!

Did you polish the inside of your throttle body, a little goes a long way!!!!!!
