I finally got around to muffler deleting Old Reliable! It sounds 100x better! Not too loud but not too quiet, video quality really doesn't do justice. If you guys have any questions, comment down below. Enjoy!
I agree, if you want some extra noise without going crazy muffler delete is the way to go. I don't plan on deleting the cats, if I did it would be too loud, and gotta keep some back pressure Haha!
I just gotten a 2000 Ford f150 yesterday with the 4.6 extended cab nice truck in red color no dents no rust . Got her for $2000. Bawn stock . It's quiet I want to take it to he muffler shop to have flowmasters put on but I believe I'm goin to do what u did take he muffler off but I see mine has a clamp on mine so I won't have to cut nothing . I do it tomorrow when I get up. I'm at work at he moment so cheers
Its a cheap way to make them louder but If I was to go back and redo it I would have probably kept the piping behind the rear axle like factory, having it in front of the rear tire drones a little more than I'd like. Good luck!
@GR Yes, I want to find a 4v intake for mine just havent done it yet, should give you more power. Tuners are expensive but they can really wake a vehicle up. Cold air intake would be a good idea as well. The 4.6 has never been very powerful but with my truck weighing almost 5500 lbs with 33" mud tires is even slower than It used to be haha
My f150 has a flowmaster exhaust system with duals, but just a few days ago it fell off in literally the exact same spot in which you have you elbow and tip. And let me tell you, I honestly LOVE the way my truck sounds without the muffler n shit. I want to do the exact same thing as you and have it elbow and dump out the side with a 6 inch tip. I even noticed a fairly decent change in overall performance when I took er out for a rip. Just goes to show that you really don't need to spend a pretty penny into making your truck sound better, improving its performance.
@@mightymachinez I have a 2004 Ford F150 triton My back exsaust rotted out and camp apart so Im using string to keep it from falling off, I'm take your 💡 idea and remove the end pipe for better weight and go with no muffler asweome video
@@AaronRowland-y5w Thanks man. I personally love the side exit in front of the rear tire. looks pretty mean and sounds great, not too loud but not too quiet.
That's awesome man! Although if you don't want it to be super loud I would just replace the muffler rather than deleting it. It's way louder in person, and after daily driving it for over a year It gets a little annoying at times. It drones pretty bad too since I dumped it in front of the rear tire, but I will admit you can't beat the sound!
If it changed my mpg it wasnt by much, it still gets pretty good mileage for a v8 (around 17 city 19 highway). Torque seems the same, the 4.6 doesn't have much torque down low.
