In todays video I got over the steps on how to replace a radiator and a heater flow control valve on a 2003 Lincoln Navigator, these steps should also work for a Ford Expedition with the same 5.4L engine.

How much did that service cost the customer ? How much would it cost for DIY'er? 🤔

at a shop is California expect around between 300-500 depending on labor rate and part mark up. DIY at home which is not that hard to be honest should easily be under $240 giving room if you need some tools and hose clamps. radiator goes around 110-130$ coolant 1 gal about 9-15$ and you would need 2 gallons.

Question: The coolant line, I have a leak there (at the bottom, I don't believe it's the radiator itself, but I can see it drip) , car is from up north so its like rusted lines, what are those lines called, I can't find them on line any where. that short curvy line, I'm sure it's called (coolant line) but they aren't as short as that, any idea on what it's called ? 04 Navi, it doesn't overheat, so I'm just thinking to replace the lines (but all my transmission fluid has drained out so.............can't drive it and I don't want to put any transmission oil back in until I get the lines fixed) any insight on that

Those are transmission cooler lines.

Transmission cooler lines. They are not that easy to find at a parts store. Usually the dealer can get them.

What are signs the heater control valve isn't working?? Besides the leaking ?

No Heat to the cabin is a very good sign

@@HITekRC my heater works but not really when it's under 15 degrees I'm in Chicago it doesn't get hot enough can that cause it to not heat up as well

@@alexislara8186 if the valve is partially closed it can cause low heat to the cabin. Also if the thermostat is sticking open it can cause under cooling and a stuck radiator fan clutch can also cause under cooling. Really cold ambient temp can also cause the coolant temp to not reach full operation temp also.
