This is a very interesting diagnosis, costumer complaint is that the radio has no sound. This system uses a fiber optic network so you need to have a dealer level diagnostic tool in order to properly diagnose it.
I really enjoyed this and even though you knew the issues you took the time to walk us through it. I have subscribed to your page and can't wait to see more videos. I was wondering if the software setup is available to the public or just professionals like you?
If you want to have full access to info, diagnosis and programming only with Xentry (Mercedes OEM) Alldata has some per car access that has most of dealer level info to for a very accesible cost.
Very good video ! I have a sound problem too on my cl500 w215 (1999) the radio plays from the middle but booth speakers on the doors don't give a sound . I test the D2B and it's closed . Don't know what to do ... I hope you can help me 🙏
@@MaicSalazarDiagnostics the speakers was working untill one day a friend take the car then the speakers on both sides driver and co driver don't work. It plays music only from the midle over the radio ....
good morning, how did you repair that problem? The same happens to me in a G500 and if I feed the positive of the amp, the radio works perfectly. The battery also drains if I do not start it all day, I suppose it is for the same problem.
Hi. Ty for the video. I have a question. I started having battery drain issues the same time as my radio issue. The radio screen was getting stuck with a black screen and the Mercedes logo with NO sound. It doesn’t get stuck all the time. My question is, if one of the modules is bad, will something stay on while the car is off that would drain the battery? I am trying to see if my radio issue is connected to my battery drain issue. One person suggested if the amplifier is bad, it may not be telling itself to turn off. I tried pulling the radio, cd player and audio gateway fuses but that did not work. Further more, when I did pull those fuses, my SRS light/visit workshop light comes on. Any help would be appreciated. Tyvm!!
The HWYLIFE well if your car is like the one on this video, then the amplifier is located in the trunk driver side and yes that can produce a battery drain. The symptom of Benz logo no sound is very common for the amp shorting.
Maic Salazar Diagnostics Yessss!!! That did it, well not completely. Lol. Went from 4.50 to 1.18....Then I pulled a few other fuses. The roof unit fuse when removed got it down to 0.054 Thank you so much for you help!!!
The HWYLIFE lol, I was thinking on the sunroof too but since you mentioned the radio problem did not tell you. The sunroof sometimes acts weird and goes up by it self or make noises with no key on. It is quite expensive to replace!
Maic Salazar Diagnostics My SRS is coming on AND off...like before when I started pulling radio/Audio GateWay....but I can live with that for now. It’s just a relief that the battery will not drain on me!! I did find a used replacement amplifier on Ebay. It ranges from $80-$130 if anyone needs help. They will obviously have to match up the part number according to their old unit. Thanks again so much for being there to help us!!
Im having a similar problem as you. My battery has been draining at the same time my command module isnt working. Whenever I try to turn on the command, it says "System Unavailable". Ive read that the metal box that sits low in the trunk (made by Becker) goes bad because of water getting to it. I replaced mine today with a used one from ebay but the command system still says "Sytem unavailable". Its gotta be something with the fiber optics not having a complete circuit and running successfully through all the modules. Idk where to go now....
Maic Salazar Diagnostics I meant Active Body Control with hydraulic fluid, the ABC light is on with sagging. Eventually I’m needing to active the Rodeo feature to bleed the system, but I need a computer that will pinpoint my issue.
The problem im having with my 2000 s430 is im not getting any power to audio head unit. I completely removed the head unit and installed it into my other 2002 s430 and it works perfect so im 100% sure the head unit is working properly. Any suggestions?
