Paul!!! Thank you for your video. I inherited my dad’s 2003 Z71 when he passed last year and this morning the gauges all died. Dealer wanted $169 to diagnose the issue. I watched your video and in 2 minutes plus a 10 amp fuse… back on the road. Thanks again!
thank you This helped a tone! Also would you know where the fuse for the rear view mirror is? my temperature and auto dim went out can’t find which fuse it is?
Hmmm - I'd check both fuses and replace. Even if they appear to be good you might want to replace just to be sure. Beyond that, you should try to reseat the connector on the back of the gauge panel and see if that does anything.
I hope its the problem on my 04 ESV! Only the back light and often te engine come on when i puth it in the ON position! After starting, few seconds or some times a minute later, the dash comes to live and all works as normal! I hope it is the problem! But im curious witch fuse it is when i look in the fuse box! There are a few 10 amp fuses in there 😂😂
No totally sure on your vehicle. I'd look for IPC/DIC in the fuse box in the engine compartment. Even if fuse looks good reseat it or replace it. Still no success I'd try reseating the main connector on the back of your cluster. Requires you to pull the fact plate off the dash and remove the cluster.
Hmmm - not sure - go to my channel and look at another vid I did on the gauge cluster for this truck. It explains where the power is supposed to be on the wire harness coming into the cluster. I would advise checking the voltage using the black, orange and pink wires in the wire harness. Check black white stripe (ground) to pink and black white stripe to orange. If power is present to both, then it's likely you have an issue with the circuit board in the cluster in which case I would pull the cluster out and send it to someone who can fix it. (FYI you can drive your truck without the cluster installed). There are various people doing this repair service on e-bay. Hope this helps! Paul
