After driving about half a mile I started to get the ABS light come up on the dashboard along with a couple of ABS messages on the display. Some discussion on a Volvo forum (volvoforums.org.uk) it was suggested that the ABS ring needed replacement. I was also getting an intermittent error code for the left front sensor. I ordered a new ABS ring and left front sensor. I removed the driveshaft to make it easier to repalce the ring. Once the ring was removed it was soon ovbious that it was the problem as it had corroded and split. With the new ring fitted and the codes cleared the problem was fixed. I then fitted the new sensor because the old one had damaged to the wire.
