I remember this game vividly. Was watching it alone on a school night and my father got home from work just in time to watch Ricky run into the end zone with me. I was 13. Those were better days for a lot of reasons.
Very enjoyable game. I always liked the ESPN Sunday Night broadcasting crew. Without giving it away, the losing team showed why special teams are important.
What a great defense they have ! I can not believe why they can not go to Super Bowl. If Marino stay until this year, I am sure this team can go to Super Bowl and Win it !
I didnt like Ricky after his stunt either. But watching these games I now understand where he was coming from... And why he didn't like Wannstedt. He was being run 35 times a game, and in 2003 behind a line that couldn't block. Can't blame the guy for not wanting to be crippled. You can see it in his body language, in the 1st Bills game and the Ravens game. "Forget this b.s.." The two back set up which ended up being Ronnie n Ricky should've been worked out sooner. Coaches have to manage personalities as much as players. The communication was poor. It was obvious that Ricky wasn't happy with the situation. Physically and mentally they just asked too much of the guy.
