In this video I will get the 2003 Yamaha YZ450F running and take it for a ride. This is the final installment of the series where I restore this motorcycle from being broke and ready for the scrap heap to being like new again. Motorcycle restoration, dirt bike , motocross , four stroke, yz450f , dirt bike restoration.

I have a 2003 yz450 same as yours, my engine seized up the other day hopefully it’s nothing no too bad. Been watching your videos to give me an idea of what I’m getting into

Thanks for watching. If you are going to repair it yourself I cant stress enough to download a factory repair manual. I found my manual in the files section of a YZ450F facebook group I joined. Good luck on the repair.

Great job! I have a 2003 YZ450F here that needs full restoration. Your clips will be very helpful. What’s the graphics kit on yours? Factory stock look hard to find for early models. David Tasmania

Thanks, its a factory FX decal kit I bought from rocky mountain atv/mc . I wasn't crazy about the FX logo but like you say there isn't anybody making a true OEM replicas. When you put gas in the tank they want to bubble even with the slits in the film. Thanks for watching !

Sounds like you got a low rpm stutter when accelerating. I'm sure you'll get it dialed in correctly though! Good luck!

The needle was in the standard position for sea level , I'm at 3500 feet so I dropped the needle position one notch so hopefully leaning it out will help, haven't had a chance to try it yet. Thanks for watching.
