Excellent job you guys! very beautiful combination and Acura TL already comes with lovely interior. However, when you showed the before and after look it took the car to a whole new level. I am definitely interested, I just wish that you guys have some installation stores nation wide because I would definitely pay you a visit.

One of the few things I hate about the 3rd gen TL'S. The perforated leather seats are so weak.

+Carlyle Tom Thanks for the comment. We have gotten that same complaint about the factory Acura covers from a ton of our customers! Its actually one of the primary reasons we developed our pattern for the TL in the first place. No prices on the website... you have to pick out all the options, the basic price is $799 for single tone and not fully leather. Still a good deal compared to fully leather from factory, its like 2-3k I think.

As you mentioned, once you fill out your vehicle information the website allows you to fully customize the kit to your specifications here: www.leatherseats.com/build-your-own-interior/. The factory Acura TL leather interior actually came with leather on the facing of the seats and matching vinyl sides, but we do offer a full leather upgrade on our website for much less then the OEM leather/vinyl mix. If you want a similar combination of leather and vinyl to the factory interior you would select our "Premium" package. Are you guys planning to add 2009-2014 Acura TSX kits anytime? The leather quality/durability is horrible in these cars. Like the TL's I'm sure you will have a need for these kits soon.

I second the TSX, especially the 04-08 version. The leather on these cars was far inferior to other Acura cars and desperately needs a replacement kit.

+noah lucero We do not offer those services. That is something you would want to take to an upholstery shop in your area that could have the vehicle on site for patterning and wrapping.

Is there anyway to get the arm rests for the doors only? With contrast stitching? And how hard is it exactly to change out? I'm on the website and looked for it but couldn't find it

Yes you can purchase the arm rests only for the TL with contrast double-stitching. Our website is designed more for purchasing full kits however you give us a call at 1-866-639-7328 or email us at sales@leatherseats.com to order the arm rests. As far as the difficulty level I believe there is plastic welding involved so there is a level of skill necessary for installation but you give us a call or email we can go over the process in more detail with you.

Our kit does not fit the Type-S seats. They were patterned off the of the base seats that were available in the standard and A-Spec models.

Alexander Monta We only produce the upholstery for the seat. The back plastic shell and map-pocket on the seat doesn't get replaced.

I would definitely recommend a second look at making seat skins like this compatible for the TL Type S. We do not have any good alternatives and even though there are fewer, most of us would be interested in buying these.

+Chris Lopez We sell replacement upholstery and so this upholstery package is available to anyone in the world who would like to purchase it. So that is the product we are selling. If you are talking about installing that product, we only install in Oklahoma City, but any upholstery shop would have the skills to install the upholstery kit if you are in another part of the US.

+LeatherSeats.com Can you tell me why the base model doesn't work for the Type-s model? Is it possible to get a base model kit altered to fit or should I just get a custom job done?

+dripdreye Thats a great question. We have not had a Type-S TL in our shop yet to test fit. We know that the pattern is cosmetically different because the Type-S stitch pattern has a unique way of double-stitching the outside seam down the face of the bolsters. We also know that the number of insert panels is different as well, which could point to differences in attachments. Lastly, we believe that the bolsters are different shapes, but that has not been confirmed.. This leads to two different possibilities: 1. the foam underneath is identical and it is just largely cosmetic differences between the two seats so relatively minor alterations could make the regular TL pattern fit. 2. the foam is different and the attachment points are different meaning that a shop would have to do some foam alterations (building up or shaving down) and some or all of the horizontal insert attachments do not line up so the inserts would just float across the foam if they didnt line up. So that's a loaded answer, but the shorter answer is we know that there are enough significant differences between the base model and Type-S that is makes us feel like there would be some amount of alteration needed to make it work. However, I could not tell you specifically what those alterations are or how extensive they would need to be to make the upholstery work.
