I watched a half dozen videos on this topic before attempting it myself. Most involved heat guns, an array of plastic scraping tools, and a lot of elbow grease, just to remove the old adhesive backing. Then I saw one long video of a fellow using a decal remover on a newer truck. Great idea!
Removing the old emblem itself is a piece of cake using a plastic prybar, an old rag to prevent scratches, and an fastener removal tool. No heat needed.
