Excellent review. I love the S-10 - out of the few trucks I have had (Ram, Sierra, Ranger) the S-10 holds a special place in me as it was the first truck I owned. I just bought a 2003 S-10 LS crew cab with the 4.3 vortec engine with 84k miles on it. Considering the age of the truck, there were only minor things that needed done - couple O2 sensors, speed sensors, and MAF needed replaced. Had to get front shocks on it. Mainly general maintenance stuff that just needed caught up on. I am so impressed with how well it runs being a 20 year old vehicle. Hope it last me 10 years!
we've owned 5 S10 2dr blazers and one 4dr. wish i had kept my 2000 ZR2, never saw a winter and after my friend charged the a/c you could build a snowman inside.
I have some pretty fond memories In a S10 blazer myself as a child. I used to ride around with an old friend when we hung out in the back seat of his parents blazer. Good times.
Better to try and fail then to not try at all. Truthfully that truck is pretty nice in some aspects and I respect it for what it is and the purpose it serves
