On a 07 ls2 I gutted the cats and ran straight pipes(deleted mufflers) and it's sounded pretty identical, it would really scream at high rpms

Take the rear mufflers off and get a cat delete pipe

Cats are removed and replaced with 2.5” straight pipe as well. Mufflers were deleted and dumped at axle and Xpipe installed as well. Next video I had the dumps removed and straights out the rear installed with 4” dual tips

Yep just cat/muffler deletes only with a k&n air filter lol
