You make a good point that more specialized problems leads to a more narrow audience. However the internet is a strange thing. I never would have thought that some channels, like obscure math channels, would draw such a massive audience. In this rapidly growing arena of computer diagnostics, online learning is a great way to expand horizons.

He's a very sharp dude, and has a way of getting the info across that not allot of ppl can do so effortlessly. I don't think it's really about who's the best, but instead a collective resource. It's good to learn from as much techs as possible.

👍👍👍. Nice one Mario. Nov.2017 my whole life changed when I went on scannerdanner premium as well. Then the whole RU-vid with the great guys u mentioned just expanded it to a whole other level. But Paul is what allowed for me for that door to be opened. I can't ever be grateful enough for that Man. Nice video though. I too when I see 02 codes with misfires was taught is the misfire the cause or the effect. Nice to point out the black wires for the 02 heater circuit. But question are all the 02 sensor with black wires the heater circuit? 🤔🤔 Knowing that will help other people with the wiring. I remember I had one 02 sensor chewed off completely from the harness side, not the 02 sensor and those harness connector wires are not ur standard white blue and 2 black wires. But knowing which one was what helped me with looking at the wiring diagram to re wire them correctly. Knowledge is power and with these great techs on here anything is possible. Keep doing ur thang brother god bless

My suburban was doing the same thing same codes and i was told by pepboys it was the intake manifold, i replaced it with a brand-new one with gaskets, took it back pepboys, its the knock sensors, change those, took it back to pepboys, its the ignition coils. Now I know they didnt do any diagnoses like this mechanic did. Im out $243 and still have the same issue p0300, and pepboys offered to fix it for $891 when its probably just oxygen sensors

Hey Mario, I've got a 2010 silverado, it has 18 psi key on engine off, after initial prime, psi goes to 0 immediately. It takes a couple cranks to start the truck. And the truck runs at 18 psi. It sets several lean codes. And runs rough. I tested fpcm, pink ignition feed and it was 14.2v running, red with white tracer B+ was also 14.2 running. Then i tested the thick grey wire that is positive to fuel pump. Truck running and idling it was fluctuating between 11.4 and 11.9v. The pink ground to fuel pump was .20mv. Now here is where I'm confused, the battery voltage was 14.2 running. The power feed from fpcm to fuel pump was between 11.4 and 11.9v i know the pump is bad because the check valve is not holding pressure, key off pressure drops to 0 immediately. Was the grey wire power feed to fuel pump supposed to be battery voltage 14.2 or was the 11.4, 11.9 good? My understanding, and i may be wrong is the regulator is built into the pump and the pump is pulse width modulated to increase pump speed to build more pressure or less pressure depending on fuel rail pressure sensor and fuel demand. I called the pump on this truck but I'm questioning myself on the fpcm. Any help would be much appreciated. I'm very green at diagnostics and want an experienced opinion. Because if the 11.4 and 11.9 were supposed to be battery voltage then this truck will need a fpcm also. Thank you in advance for any help!
@SuperMarioDiagnostics
@SuperMarioDiagnostics 5 лет назад
Oops i read that wrong. Your supply is good to the fpcm. You'd have to command the fpcm to 100 percent command and recheck. Most pwm fpcm won't supply full 100 percent command at idle. I don't think you have anything to worry about if your duty cycle matches your life data pid command percentage

I don't know but I've changed all plugs & wires along with all coils new carb knock sensors & harness cleaned intake throughout the whole intake let it dried 3 days I've also got better intake manifold gaskets and never bothered the o2s still ran good except rough idling I've tested for vacuum leaks and none found even the intake wasn't leaking at all that's when it started to mind boggling me so I just drove it around like a little over 100 miles and it started to run smooth again I've checked the system out wit a ob2 tester to see if anymore codes popped up and none showed up it even said the evap is working properly again thank God because that was the next project to tackle but the codes all cleared up and still my daily driver at going on nearly 250000 miles on her yes indeed I've gotten a decent built 2004 4.8 engine

Just described brother and do you have knowledge about front suspension on a 2004 2wd. 4.8 ? If so what would be best a level kit or a lift kit I kinda want the truck higher so I can haul a camper trailer it's a weekender and the rear is kinda to low I'm going for rough country kits and on a monthly fixed income budget $ 600 doesn't go far at all I'm just having to put a little back to build up some funds because it's my only transportation

@@SuperMarioDiagnostics that's ok bruh I got a local company that does that they want to charge me $ 500 in labor to install a 4.5 inch rough country lift but dam $650 for the lift kit is understandable and dat $ 500 labor is ridiculous to me if I wasn't 55 years old I'd do it myself 😁

Mario great video, I still have a question about the P0300 misfires. I have a 2007 GMC YUKON XL 5.3. I'm having code P0300. When I take off my stabilitrac light comes on and shifts really hard. I have 250k miles. Besides taking it back to a shop should I change all 4 O2 sensors?? Thanks any advice will help about to find a cliff or bridge and drive this SUV off of it.
@SuperMarioDiagnostics
@SuperMarioDiagnostics 4 года назад
No, absolutely not. I'd check out live data and see what codes are setting in the ebcm before anything
@TheBucktowncrazy
@TheBucktowncrazy 4 года назад
Thanks for your reply, guess I need to go buy a code reader that gives more info like which cylinder is misfiring. Most of those $60 to $90 readers that Auto Zone or Advance sell only read and allow codes to be erased. Curious which ones they sell allow you to read history or live data. It will come in handy on my kids vehicles. Any advice thanks again

They won't be cheaper. You're looking for an advanced scanner. That's easily in the hundreds

@Angel Puente I sure did, After spend extra money and a bunch of hours online. A lot of comments said to check to see if the plugs are loose and for a bad coil wire going to the plugs. Well it was both on my SUV, I had the problem with the #1 plug. I change the plug and wire and it's fine now. Good luck hope it helps.
@TheBucktowncrazy
@TheBucktowncrazy 4 года назад
@Angel Puente You should be able to tell if one of them are loose by touching it. When plugs are in correctly they are thight. If it move at all then that's not good at all. And if you do find one loose change it don't just tighten it back down it most likely fouled out.

Bro you need a power probe

I have one. Why would that change anything?

@@SuperMarioDiagnostics Then you wouldn't need to keep moving your test light clamp.

@SuperMarioDiagnostics 5 лет назад
😂 that's it? Come on man! I'm not THAT lazy 😆 the time i took to move the clamp is still less than the time it takes to open my box, open the power probe box, unwind it, hook it up and use it. 😆😆😆😆

@@SuperMarioDiagnostics Yes of course I liked it you didn't an awesome job explaining everything...I'm trying to learn, use my Autel and track a misfire on my 04 Avalanche. Found I have a fuel leak down after initial prime, but fine running. New fuel pump 2.5 yrs ago. But don't think that's my issue. Swapped injectors, no difference. Plugs and wires seem good, low resistance, swapped coils no difference. Chasing down every trail so far and ended up here. So gonna try testing the O2 since I found 2 rubbing on the edge of the sheet metal of body under there. But it seems not into the actual wires though.

Do you own a scope? It could be an injector or engine mechanical

I am curious, and I know this is an easy question. But do you always test with a grounded test light on the heater circuit to find the 12v power then you know the other one much be the switched ground and can apply 12v through testlight to test? Otherwise if you go in with testlight hooked up to 12v do you risk shorting something out?
@SuperMarioDiagnostics
@SuperMarioDiagnostics 4 года назад
No it won't short, the pcm would give a code for a short if there was one, and likely shut the circuit off until you clear the code. There's no risk as long as you know which wire you're probing
@maxfrederick1244
@maxfrederick1244 4 года назад
@@SuperMarioDiagnostics awesome thanks. Basically look for the two black wires on a 4 wire o2 sensor and you know those are probably heater circuit? Or just look up wiring diagram for each car is prob safest
@SuperMarioDiagnostics
@SuperMarioDiagnostics 4 года назад
Yes, most cars use both black wipes for the heater circuit, some use white. It's always best to look up the diagram
