2004 Honda CRV broken hood latch release (2002-2006)

Second generation (2002-2006)
Broken Hood Latch release.
Raise the front end of the car on ramps.
Remove the plastic bottom cover.
Slide your hand behind the frame bar and in front of the oil pan, between the engine and the radiator. All the way up until you feel the cable, a few inches up and feel the spring, push toward the passenger side. Should pop open.
A long skew driver might help but I was able to get my hand all the way up there.
