The series was acquired from NASCAR and didn't race Daytona again after the track official was fatally injured in this event. It was also never on tv again. It eventually had ASA sanctioning and fully shut down in 2011.
I just hope that this series comes back to life to make those cars fun for superspeedway fans especially if the Bush Clash don't make a return to Daytona and have an All-star race at Atlanta and championship race finals at Talladega.😢😊😊
Bad things that happen at the start of a pace lap was a dead battery on pit road. Mainly being that a crew member didn't turn off a master switch in the car ran the battery down on Ray Paprota's car.
The end of the race wasn't televised. Mike Joy even said as they were signing off that they went over the time allowed and we'll get an update on Speed News. Ultimately it did end at night but 20 laps were removed. Danny Bagwell won the race. There's another video that has the recap of the race with the finish. 2004 IPOWER Dash Daytona 150 Highlights is the title of the video.
@NASCARFAN03OFFICAL4U Just the Speed News recap afterwards far as I know it which confirms the race did end at night. By the way thst was the other video I referred to the Speed News recap.
