2004 Mercury Marauder. (Dark Toreador Red Marauder short teaser of more to come?) 

Thank you for your comment and subscription! I’m glad you enjoyed it! This car next season will be getting a tr3650 transmission, 4.10 gears and longtube headers. (And possibly a built 5.4L 4v forged internal motor that I’ve had sitting in the back corner of the shop waiting for a rainy day….) There is a couple more Marauders here on the channel that I’m currently filming a engine change on as well as another Marauder that was in a minor accident involving the previous owner. (That has not been introduced to the channel yet…)That I’m putting together a tutorial video series on auto body repair. As well as a 1963 Mercury Marauder that is going to be restored and built to be a 40 year old twin of my 8 year daily driver of which is a black 03 Marauder with 4.10 gears, LT headers and a tune.

@@ProjectMercuryMarauder Thanks for your response , I had thought of the 5.4 4v swap but didn’t think it would fit being wider than the 4.6 and hood clearance might be an issue . My 03 has 29,000 original miles enjoy it being mostly stock ( K& N and slotted rotors and a few other little things . Please keep us up on your modifications as they are very interesting !……

@@thomasdaum1927 the 5.4 is 15/16th” wider on each side and 3/4 taller, measured from the oil pan gasket surface to the base of the intake manifold gasket surface. compared to the 4.6.

I also have a Australian Ford Falcon BOSS 290 intake. To be used with the 5.4 but I might go with a heavily modified coyote Sheetmetal aluminum intake so the factory Marauder intake plenum lid that will fit on top while looking ‘factory’ and retaining the factory style emissions devices.

They made 980 red ones but only 328 blue ones.

@@ProjectMercuryMarauder Ok. Makes sense. I saw a blue one with low milage for sale couple of years ago. It was going for crazy money.

@@pstreetgarage7304 from what I can find there’s only 471 Marauders slated for the Canadian market. How many dark pearl blue Canadian Marauders exist are not documented, but if there was 471 Canadian Marauder’s total of the 11,052 ever made and 328 dark pearl blue Marauders if we do some simple math, it comes out to 13.9 so let’s just say of the Marauders that was sent to Canadian dealerships doing the math says there’s only about 14 DPBs which makes them extremely rare.

@@pstreetgarage7304 thank you! I am by no means “the all knowing” with these cars. I’m still learning things. Like just today all the Canadian model cars, the literature involved with a car and some of the text within the cars are in English and in French. That’s just from what I read, I have not seen a Canadian model of the Marauder ever in person… I’m actually going on to learn about the classic Marauders now. lol
