Yes, doesn't matter though. If it's on a lift or not jacked up it will be level... drain is in the back of the pan so you'll basically get the same amount out either way. Checking the level when refilling should be done on the ground/level.
Now do that 5-7x more times in the next month, then a good flush would be done. Basically diluting old trans oil into new. If you do it once, that doesn’t doesn’t do much since majority of the rest of the oil is dirty and will contaminate the new oil. But can help, since some new oil is better than none.
