2004 Toyota Tacoma 2.4L P/S idler pulley replacement

Do you think it’ll be a good idea to regrease the bearing to “rebuild” an old idler pulley for the 2rzfe? Even if it’s not making any noises per se, just as preventative maintenance? Still running originals with 140k mikes. The oem pulley from Toyota runs like $200 😅 thanks and take care 🤙🏼

I was trying to figure out if it is ok to use the old shoulder washer on the newer pulley since it would hypothetically force the new pulley to stick out further. Maybe forcing the belt to be off? Should I maybe buy a different washer for the back of the new/different replacement pulley? Been having a hard time finding info on this.

It's a good thing I put electric fans. None of that is in my way lol

where did you get the pulley at?

Would a bad idler pulley have a grinding sound at certain RPMs?
