Yeah same, I've only heard the 2011 Red Bull at a Top Gear event. The downshifts were pretty nice, with the allowance of the blown diffuser back then. Still, the n/a V8 sound was amazing up close and hearing fly past going 290Kmph + but, to know the V10 tops that, it's just unimaginable. It's a shame really... :(
I did..Magny cours France GP 99 and 2000,Adélaïde hairpin👍👍 and free practice 2005 in the Pit straight💪👍😇😮😮❤️ just woah!!! Amazing !! I Heard V8 too in 2006 and 7 free practice with these famous practice start between the pit wall and the grandstand😮🤯🤪😱
@@philips6182 mostly due to weight distribution of the car. Renault used to have more weight in the rear which made those cars' rear end (2004, 2005, 2006) very stable. It was an understeery car due to this (and other factors) and had an excellent traction, which made these cars incredible in starts.
Wish there was a compilation of all the races in 2005 and 2006 seasons with of course, special emphasis on Alonso, greatest champion ever... Gosh, those two seasons and the machinery in itself is just a worth a lifetime
Those Renault's in 05 (especially at the start here) were like, "CHEAT MODE: ENGAGE!!" No not really cheating. Just saying because they were so good at the start.
+Eric Ortega well. They were very cheeky. the LC was triggered when it sensed the induction field above the start grid (used to detect jumpstarts) fell away when Charlie pressed the start button. so the reaction was inhumanly fast.
BlaZe iT - Charlie starts start sequence - an electromagnetic field is generated - if a car moves, this field is disturbed, thus a jumpstart has happened - if the red lights go out, this field immediately vanishes - the car has a system that notices this, engages the clutch and activates launch control. All way faster than a human ever could
Alonso has admitted in several interviews that the cars are harder to drive now then they were back then. They had TC, ridiculous Aero, and less "cammy" engines.
As i said look at schumachers car: You can clearly see that his car is moving earlier than Alonso's. Despite that the renault launcher made that better start in the next moment to shit.

Fisichella sale disparado como si compitieran entre los dos unicamente. Aqui Alonso no terminaba de meter la 2da y ya tenia mejor velocidad que los dos de la pole. Hoy en dia eso es simplemente IMPOSIBLE. 4:35 en comparacion al Renault, el auto de kimi suena como un gatito 😅
Yes I noticed that too, how Alonso had to get back on the clutch again and redo his start. But Schumacher and Button really had a terrible start here anyway. Kimi Räikkönen who started behind the two Renaults managed to keep up and overtook Schumacher. Had he just been one more place up he would have had Button also.
This R25 is insane, if the 2005 BAR can do 1/4 miles in 8.6sec then even with a botched start Alonso can do it 1sec faster, and as goes for Fisi with a good start... well this Renault can do 1/4 miles in under 7.5sec
2005-2008 Best Championship Years. But from 2009 with the Rule Changes its so boring. Everyone knows who win now. Btw the Renaults fly at the Start away xd
renault were renowned for thier traction control and handling look when alonso went back to them when they were weack they still had a car that could handle and now lookm at thier hot hatch's they are the best handling exept for the bmw's cus they are rear wheel drive
Watching this just proves how good Codemasters is at their F1 games. Probably raced that track more than any of them, could almost sense my braking points. Even the same POV i use in game.

I believe Button and Schumacher had actually a poor start here. Schumacher was passed by Kimi I think it was in a Mclaren who started 6th before the first turn.

Okay, maybe schumacher had here also not the best start! Actually you cant see here really when red light switches off and the back of the gird is also not wahtchable. But what we see here is that schumacher had the clearly better start then Alonso and the Alonsos launch control still manages within next moment to equalize that advantage. So when the others 18 drivers start is irrelevant, in order to see how their launch control is working....

@mildseven0506 actually it will be 1.5 liter v6 turbos from 2014 on... at least a six cylinder sounds way better than a v8, more like the legendary v12s....
Formula 1 is better today, because no traction controll or other driving aids.. And because of the tires. Keep banning all traction controll, launch controll, ESP and just give them V10 engines back, to make it perfect. I think even DRS makes sometimes overtaking too easy, its better that way, than cars jammed behind slower cars, like it was before DRS.
Well actually it is alot up to the driver. Alonso is still really good at starts generally even though he's had a few "bad" ones this season. And then look at Webber who never seems to starta race without losing positions. Even though Vettel has made some really good starts this iseason in the same car.
Yes... the sound is pretty good but.. what happens? The engines now are so freaking bad but in the first lap you can see more than 2 overtakings at all... Here I only see the start ones and... do anyone see something else? And for all who say that the actual Formula 1 is bad... I think it's necessary pass throught bad seasons to have better ones in the future!
