My wife has the same car with 165k miles on it with the original plugs and I have been procrastinating replacing them, only because I’m not sure how to get to the back ones. Surprisingly, 45k miles after it was supposed to be replaced, it still passed the CA smog test 3 months ago and still drives and idles smooth. Tempted to leave it alone until it dies but after watching this video, I feel more confident to do it now.

Your removal of the three nuts in the back is masterful. It took me totally 6 hours to get them off.

Terrific video! Spot on. Took 4-5 hours. Could be quicker if you don't run into any problems at all along the way. Don't rush. Be patient. Definitely doable.

as an electrician and hobbyist mechanic, this look pretty easy man. I didnt even know that the PCV had to be replaced. but now i do. IM CONVINCED I CAN REPLACE THE HEADGASKETS WHILE THE TOP IS OFF.

First time i did this job took me 4hrs..2nd time took me 1hr and half. Easier once you know how. Book time is 4hrs for this job..and i put braket bolts back as i think helps with vibration on idle..its there for a reason

Great video. Have you done the rear valve cover gasket? The back bolts are tricky

Isn’t it a good idea to also change the ignition coil at the same time since it’s so hard to get the them? The two bolts you didn’t put back may cause issues down the road, like rough idle. But great video! I wouldn’t even know where to start! Thank you!

I just spent 4 hrs changing my spark plugs without taking the manifold off and couldn't get to one (you guessed it right in the middle of the rear!!), so I think I'm gonna break down and follow your instructions. I had the same problems taking off the clips, they broke on me. What's the puddy called that you used? I think I'll do the same thing..

Seem like a lot of work just to get to the rear Spark plug. Just I'll just change the front 3 instead... haha

Great video and I am tackling this right now. Unfortunately the 12mm on the throttle body has stripped and I can not get it off. No idea on how to move forward. Can I loosen the bolt on the other end from under the car to losen the bracket ?

Quick tip by experience, these engines give shit fuel consumption.always try to use the cruse control. Keep the throttle body and MAF clean with a clean air filter. I am getting 10.5 l/100km ... big difference

I was going to buy a 2004 RX330 with only a hundred forty thousand miles for a good price because it needs spark plugs and ignition coil. That is with the 6 codes are reading. After watching this video I can't believe someone has to go through all that just to change spark plugs PCV and ignition coil. How much does the dealership charge to do this? Maybe I won't buy this car

What kind of shit design is this. Took me 15 minutes to remove and cleaned the throttle body on my 4runner. You would have to do surgical procedure on this car for the same process.
