Hard to describe, but while your in there, there is a factory defect on some. The corner turn signal or marker light, can't remember which. Anyway the harness for the corner bulbs is trapped behind sorta like the core support. If you look you will see what I mean. Loosen the bracket bolt there and slide the harness out for more free play. Mine was so tight, it ripped out my socket
I just bought a 9-7x and realized today that both my turn signals were completely fried inside and the lenses were actually burned. I'll have to check the wiring harnesses for both sides. Thanks for the advice!
Thanks for posting this, I was wondering if an LED conversion kit would fit (considering the length of the heat sink/fan), definitely not with the cap and the tight fight behind it.
Just installed LED's instead of Halogen in my high beam-fit fine. Left the cap off for air circulation. Ballast / adapter fit inside housing just fine. Thanks OP for the info on sliding the clips down a bit to remove headlights.
I'm experiencing the same issue right now and want to order the wire online but am not getting luck finding it. Do you have any advice on what type of wire I should look for? I tried the part number you wrote. Same car by the way.
fnvaladez this is my pastors car I was fixing for him, haha. The headlights were fine, just the harness needed replacing. But you're right! LEDs would be awesome!
