I heard people drain transmission fluid completely and flush it with some kind of a fluid some people flush it with diesel, I've never done it and never will :-) personally I only drain from Pan and then by removing filter whatever comes out out of there that's good enough, and I change every 40 maybe 50,000 miles, had no issues
So I’m doing a full fluid change , transmission and torch converter. Everything went smooth as I drained it all, put new oil back in and before I started I was went through all the gears and could barely get it back into park( it took a little force) so I started it up sounds normal but now I can’t get it back into park. I have to shut it off and it goes right in. Any idea on what I could have possible done wrong? Also it’s not showing any gear indicators on the dash. It shows the mileage and everything but not R, N, D.
Did you remove anything of the valve body? Or did you take the valve body off? The cable that come down from the shifter down to the transmission, it is connected to a rod that slides/moves inside the valve body. The connection between the rod and the lever that moves the rod is out of plastic, if you forced in parking, you could have broke that little piece of plastic. Also, check or replace the 13 pin connector, that could be the problem too.
Dimitriy Perchik thank you for your response. During the 1st fluid change I didn’t remove the valve body just dropped the pan. I did notice a leak by the 13 pin connector, I started with that. Previous owner must have tighten to much so it stripped on the back end. Forcing me replace the conductor plate. Everything looked in order. No broken plastic pieces, the rod looks fine. After replacing the 13 pin connector and conductor plate put the oil back in and still having the same issue. I don’t see any fluid in the TCM that’ll be my next thing to check. Any other suggestions on what to do next? Perhaps the shifter?

Привет! Большое спасибо за видео! Очень много полезного узнал! Хотел спросить как ты всё-таки решил проблему шума в трансмиссии? Пластину которую ты сверлил, ты потом снова заменил на без отверстия, а шум сам по себе изчез? У меня это проблема каждый раз когда температура опускается до +15 +20. Летом когда +40(я в Мексике живу), шума практически нет. А сейчас грохот такой стоит по утрам, что кажется машина развалится сейчас! Буду очень благодарен за ответ!
Hello everyone! Do any of you know why a 2006 sprinter has coolant leak between where engine and transmission meet? It also has oil leak, black oil.....if anyone has an idea I’d really appreciate a response, thank you all!!!
Сколько заливал масла???? по логике вещей, столько, сколько слил, но а как же остальное, которого там еще пару галлонов в системе, то есть, масло нужно менять как минимум 3 раза,так как ты просто сливаешь часть старого и добавляешь часть нового
