in full disclosure I realize I am a woman trying to empower other women to work on their own bikes too, please note I did reach a point that because I am a novice and hydrolics and clutches are all knew to me that I had to call in a man (my husband AKA the big dawg) to take over and figure out what I was doing wrong. lol so this videos lesson is don't be afraid to ask for help when you get stuck 🤣

Good video, you skipped the hard part though. How did you get it slid out after the bolts were removed?

My hand was not strong enough to pull it out so I had to have my husband do it, he had to wiggle and pull hard to get it to break free

@@shuttersplainin8728 I loosened the clamp holding the wires and moved them out of the way. I had just enough room to wiggle it out. Thanks for the video. I'll be riding today. Have a great 4th of July weekend 🎊

I gotta ask. How did you get the slave cylinder out between the crankcases? Even if you get the hydraulic line out of the way, there is verry little space.

@doubletrippleburger it's very difficult you just got to work it with your fingers. I had problems too but somehow my husband managed to wiggle it out and get the new one in

Just picked up a 99 venture last month. I've had 2 Harleys, now switched back to foreign bike. Great ride. Same color as yours too. Love it. But a month in, my hydraulics are leaking. Ordered slave kit as well. This video helps me tremendously, so thanks. Well done 🤘💯

Yeah all the older bikes when you get them I highly recommend bleeding all hydrolics and flushing and putting all new fluids in everything and do oil filter and air filter and spark plugs -unless you know who owned it and the history that it has been taken care of properly

Thanks for sharing this for I too are the proud owner of a 1999 Royal Star Venture Tour Deluxe that I've ordered a slave cylinder kit for and plan to do the repair myself hopefully real soon. Watching you have inspired me to go ahead and do it. I admire you for trying to empower other women to work on their own bikes. Actually,👨‍🔧 you are also empowering some men also.💯

I give you two thumbs up for wanting to repair your own bike . You are marriage material in my book . I hope all is well with it now . I own a 2006 Royal Star Tour Deluxe with a clutch fluid leak .
