What are YOU working on?
2006 Ford Fusion with a heating (not heating up) issue.
How did this work turn out?
Job completed successfully!
What are we using to complete the work?
Common hand tools
thermostat part from O'reilly Auto Parts
power tools (not needed)
Do you have any concerns about today's work?
No concerns today. This was recorded a while ago. :)
Why did you decide to do this?
Fixing the thermostat before selling this to a customer.
What's your favorite thing about this work?
We hope this video helps encourage you to start or continue working on whatever project you've got sitting around. We hope you have a great day. We appreciate our subscribers and viewers. A BIG THANKS to each of you. Remember, this is something YOU CAN DO so REACH OUT with QUESTIONS and don't be afraid of starting-continuing-finishing the work your project needs.
We enjoy engaging with our 2stallgarage family. Thanks for watching! Drop a comment below. God bless!
What would you improve, if anything?
Nothing to improve. It was a good day.
Any additional thoughts?
We complete work in a small 2 stall garage with limited space. You can do anything you would like to do, no matter the space you have, just plan accordingly and adjust your plans to the size of your workspace. We Believe In YOU!
What's coming to the shop in the future?
Wheeler video!
Are you able to do lots of work in a limited space?
Yes, without question. The biggest issues we face in our 2stallgarage are organization. Keeping the workspace organized and both stalls clear of clutter really helps with motivation, which then helps with productivity. Basically, if I see a clean workspace, I'm much more ready to dive into a project or even just scheduled maintenance like today's oil change.

Easier method is to remove the elec fan. Remove the lower hose end from the rad. Disconnect the coolant hose from the connection before the thermostat housing. This method allows you to unbolt the housing with the hoses still on it so you can remove them on the bench.

Fixing to replace the one in my mustang with a lower temp thermostat as well as replacing upper radiator hose and re bleeding system. Already did the radiator cap and seemed to help but under throttle upper hose wants to collapse. It's not as bad as it was before I changed the cap but rather just fix it now before becomes an issue

Thanka for the video . I need to do this aoon but your explanation skills could be a bit better 😂 hard to know what bolts your removing when your not telling us what part your working on ( the video very small on a phone ). Kinda looks like a guy stinking his hands in an engine bay 😂. I would love to see a nice step by step or what the repair manual says. Got p0128 on the car im working on. I hope this doesnt sound mean as i appreciate any instructions available for free
