@@filamrider1782 hi. i have a 2012 r6. i want to remove the tank, drain the fuel, and put fresh fuel in it. in the 2002 r6, there's a fuel shut off valve. the 2012 doesn't have that. if i remove the tank to go put gas in it, will it leak? or can it only leak if the fuel pump is off?
@@clearlight1242 It's efi, just siphon the tank, empty out the gas, have a fire extinguisher near, don't break the elbow, it will only leak from the hosed that's the excess fuel. That's it.

@@filamrider1782 thanks bro. I managed to clean the rust out of the tank and put it back but now it's now starting up. Don't know what's wrong. The relay is new,fuel pump is working as it sends a stream of petrol when the bike is switched on. It would even crank but would not start.
Leo Check the ahhh I cant remember what is called but its the aluminum or steel that run across the cylinders fuel spray think? They have small tiny holes that the gas comes out it could be clog up from the rust, I'm servant take a picture my r6-is now in Philippines. Anyways what's wrong with bike?
Great video. Thanks!! I have a problem with my TDM 900 fuel pump, such as that at the part where the return is mounted it leaks. Not the hose but between the plastic parts on the outside. Is the an o-ring or something? Do you have any ideas how to fix this. Thank for just reading this message and greetings from the Netherlands
I think so...my old 1s was 06 and 09 both used same motor pump.... I think if I'm correct 06 to 16 used same model....but make sure to ask from the parts supplier first 🙏... God bless
Shaheer, Did you check your injector? Where the gas spray on top of your cylinder sometimes it's so clog up with dirt that gas is just tricking it happened with my gixxer it wasn't spraying properly, you basically change the main problem, check you air filter as well, sometime you fuel lines could get clog up too...
That little tab its what click on to the filter and it will prevent it from coming out of the tank but if its been broken off just have it snap back on it should be fine

Abdelhadi Hamed I suggest start with your fuel pump either it's clog up or might need replacement, I had same problem it will not stay idle unless rev to 1500 or higher rpm. good luck keep me posted. Happy holiday.
Turn on the ignition and listen if it comes on and you can hear it priming. If it's not doing any check for the fuel relay under the seat, then the fuel pump after. Make sure battery is good also as it requires the fuel relay pump power from the battery.
