Mine heats up under very specific conditions. Stuck in stop/go traffic and in gear. As a stop-gap I run the heat temporarily as needed, but looking into a more permanent solution. Have a 2006 as well with just under 80K miles.
Damn that’s pretty quick, basically got the same mods , Black hawk knn intake , ported throttle body , MSD ignition coils , and a Diablo sport programer , I’m not sure how much I’m pushing to the wheels but might be around the same amount as yours.
@@Mr_Mopar6.1 if you still have the car and are ever interested in selling I’m located in Colorado and finding one for a reasonable price has been a pain the last few months
Hi from new Zealand really nice 2006 model I have a 300c srt8 6.1L 2007 model same colour pretty much a twin to your car just mine is right hand drive lol with Hemi coming to a end this is a rare model only just over 18 thousand 300c srt8s made by crysler an the 6.1L hemi is a fantastic engine I think the value of the car will go up just like holden Australia when thay stopped holden v8s I think I was pretty lucky to get one in new Zealand not to many over here a used srt8 will set you back 32 grand in nz thatthe going price for one here in good condition
I have the same car and dealing with the temp going up. I brought up the 180 thermostat to my mechanic but he says its not needed and possibly cause future issues. Im thinking I need a re-tune. Either way im rocking with the content 300 fam 🫡
Do you have a social handle for the car bro? I honestly have a bunch of questions about it and I saw a comment mentioning you possibly selling, I’d be interested if so! If not still would love to know if you could send me in the direction of some of the 🔥 custom pieces in the car
Yea I mean I guess it’s personal preference I know these hemis can run hot and there’s nothing wrong with it but I didn’t like the temp going up to 220 every time I hit it. Sometimes even past 220. I like how it sits between 180-195 at all times
@@Mr_Mopar6.1 ok like you said it's personal preference I don't mind it sitting higher but I don't really push mine like you do yours, and mine is a newer one
@@Mr_Mopar6.1it's a shame that Chrysler is trying to kill these mighty v8 2 stroke engines that made it's reputation. Merging with Fiat group was the worst decision ever made
Honestly I didn’t know what to go with either but I got mine from highhorseperformance.com and I’ve had no issues. You do want to get that fans tuned for it but it works amazing. My car never goes past 200 anymore which is awesome
Honestly I wouldn’t want to daily drive it because gas is expensive for it it’s also not the best car on gas lol as you could imagine but I usually just drive it on the weekends
Check out khal srt on RU-vid. He’s doing a hellcat swap I believe on a magnum. I never knew if you could do it but you can definitely do it. The only hard part I think is making the interior work out form a scat but I know the engine and trans fits good in our car
I have a 180 degree thermostat and it kinda over heats man , it goes up too 203 -207 when I do a couple pulls , but when I’m driving normal it stays around 190-196
Not good lol but I guess it mostly matters how you drive it but for the most part it’s not the best on gas and expensive to fill up. But that’s what you’d expect with a big hemi in that big body 300 lol
