In order to fix that issue, you need to replace the entire valve cover assembly. I recommend going to Z1 because they have replaceable spark plug gaskets for in the future, but the original doesn't have replaceable gaskets. Good luck!
question, got the car off a random n he replaced the valve gasket cover he said n now it won’t start, there’s crank but no spark, do you know what could be the issue? i’m assuming it’s the spark plugs but im not sure it was running before he replaced it
There are grounds no top front of intake, if you don’t bolts those ground wires up it won’t start. They come from harnes, just ground those wires and it should start.
Thanks @@mysterygarageCA - I think I may try to tackle it myself. Maybe learn a few things since I need to replace the valve covers (found oil in #4 & #5 plug holes when I did a tune up last weekend)
2 things that puzzles me… O ring for the cam sensor??? And, plug well seals???? I mean the owner will be replacing sensors and valve covers soon after this bandaid…Another expense of labor redoing exactly what you did here 🥸 Hmmm
It’s been a year and no leaks. Some bandaids work for years if you know what your doing. But you’re right, in reality you’re suppose to replace both valve covers and both sensors but I doubt people are willing to spend like 1k for that.
