Such a great guitar and amazing build. Even if you don't love abalone, you'll find that you don't really see it when you're playing, which trust me, is a good thing. The thorough incorporation of abalone throughout is the only aspect of my 1000 models that I dislike but I can't really see it while I'm playing, so it's okay. The other week, I bought this LTD EC-1000 Deluxe from Matt Rhoades, the guitarist of And Then There Were None, who are based in New Hampshire. i have the exact same one. black n gold hard ware.. korean ltd ec-1000t with the inlays all around the entire outer neck and the headstock. emg's ect, ect. and its the absolute best guitar ive ever felt in my hands and it was out of the box setup with action the lowest ive ever played.. it practically plays it self its setup so dam great. this guitar in insane! ill never sell or get rid of it for no money! i absolutely love it. ive had them all from highest to mid to cheap guitars and this 1 is the best. not to mention it was a birthday gift.

Can’t go wrong with an Eclipse! I have 3 of them, EC256SW-81/81’s, EC401QM-SD Mustaine Live Wires, EC1000QM- Original AHB-1 Blackouts, currently looking at the EC Black Metal!!! My favorite guitars!!! You rock, keep up the great work!!!

Get all your tools ready! Get new strings ready, get oil for the fretboard, so you can freshen it up and a clean rag with cleaning fluid to clean the entire guitar off. That way, it's yours and you start this new adventure with an almost new EC. The best part of New Guitar Days is cleaning the heck out of it! :)

I have this exact same guitar color, gold hardware literally everything is the exact same and it plays better than literally any other guitar ive ever played and i have played many guitars in my 23 years of playing.

Duuude, that Sunburst EC1000 looks classy! Got me a Korea Les Paul with a solid Flame maple top in Tobacco-burst! Sweeet-ness; but it's a porker, weighing about 9lbs! Just got a 3-inch padded Levy's suede top strap 4 it! Feels like a pillow on my shoulder now! The Garment leather back feels like butter! Will be buying s'more next few weeks for my other axes! Barely feel the weight now!

I haven't owned a ton of guitars but I've owned a couple fender strats before and a couple different epiphone guitars and i bought a pretty nice epiphone les Paul custom a few years ago that i was playing for a while. But then i decided to buy a ltd ec1000 deluxe with emg's and it immediately became my favorite guitar. I love that thing, it sounds great, it feels great and its so much lighter than my heavy epiphone les Paul custom. The one i bought was brand new but it was also a b stock guitar and the only thing I could find wrong with it is one or two fret wires look a bit crooked but it plays fine. I think mine is a little older since it doesn't have the push pull knobs but i love that thing.

Happy New Guitar Day man!!! I'd love to see that Custom 22! I have a CE 22 that I am just so in love with. I never payed much attention but because of my CE 22 I much prefer the distance between the pickups on a 22 compared to a 24 now.

Just nabbed an EC-1000 MIK Evertune. I've owned a few Gibsons and USA Strats but this one is the most flawless construction-wise and sounds killer. LTD's are definitely a great bang for your buck 👍

LTD 1000 series deluxe and the 600 artist signature series (along with a few E-II models) is all I play. I'm not rich, but I like nice guitars that play well, and these do it for me.

3 Les Paul "collection" I have around 80. I think our definition is different. That being said. It just means you're smarter than I was LOL. And now I just fell in love with Ibanez and any schecter that has horns that can stab you.

80!!!!!! Overall, I have 53 but 13 are ESPs and 11 are LTDs, maybe 7 Ibanez and 10 Jacksons and a few more, a Kiesel here, a BC Rich there, so our collections are definitely in the several dozen! Hahaha! Man... you have 80!! That's awesome! The owner of my local guitar shop has that many but he owns a STORE! Hahaha! Are you getting the 6 string Ibanez or 7 strings? I read a post about a guy who had about 40 gorgeous 6 string Ibanez guitars. Then he played a few 7s, sold ALL his 6 string Ibanez models and got almost the twins of his old models but as 7 strings now! Haha!! Talk about being dedicated! LOL! Have a great weekend, Donnie!! Had same the guitar… 06’ ec1000 deluxe and gave to my buddy i hated the emg’s so much haha went back to my les paul with 498t bridge pup… and if i remember correctly the neck was super thin and shreddy with the tall jumbo frets

Oh no! Yeah, I feel like EMGs have a sound that's too distinct but as crazy as this sounds, using 24v batteries makes them sound so much better. It's nuts! Is this Ronda from Instagram Ronda, that I follow? :)

Just superficial differences between the 1000 and 400 series in my opinion. I'd say any Korean LTD is killer from my experience.

I miss my EC-1000 Red Cherry burst! They play so fucking well!! But mine was 24.75' scale :/ Nowadays I really only want a 25.5. but man you're making me miss my old EC1000. The first guitar I actually worked for and bought myself!

@@jscott893 Scale lenght does matter for the feel/playability of the guitar: There is a .75" difference between 24.75" and 25.5", which does make a difference in fret spacing, provided both have the same # of frets. Sure its not much the difference, in the 24th fret its about a 0.01" difference in width, but it is a difference that *could* matter to some.

How well does it stay in tune? Most guitar reviews leave that detail out.

I love guitars with a Floyd Rose or Kahlers. That being said, to override any potential for going out of tune of these ECs, when I put new strings, I will stretch them at various points, so the stretch is more than it should be. That way, when I bend, they go right back to normal. As long as you stretch your strings, you'll be fine. That's what I did with my old Gibson Les Pauls, my PRS customs and these EC1000s. You'll love them. Hope this helps. :)

Used to have a ESP Standard Eclipse II and a E2 Viper. They were great guitars but I didn't care for the necks; they were too small for my tastes. If ESP had a fat neck profile option I'd definitely buy a guitar with it!

That's a nice guitar. I got me a km6 schecter man and I'm loving this thing. It's got the signature Keith Merrow Fishman fluence pickups and they are really nice . It's weird they are active pickups but feel like passive pups . Keith did an awesome job on these pickups. Check one out brother if you havnt yet. It's a metal mayhem beast for real. I've had all kinds of active and passive pickups and these are the best of both worlds and it has a push pull volume knob for 4 voicings in the pups. Appreciate you and the content brother.

I'm not caught up on brand. I mean I own a PRS, but it wasn't purchased because of the name on it. I actually didn't know anything about PRS at the time. I played it and liked it. I've played PRS I didn't like too. I really like ESP and I'm sure I'd have no problem with an LTD. I think I'll probably buy one. Enjoyed the video.

If you decide on dabbling with LTD, just make sure it's at least their 1000, preferably an older one made in Korea. The consensus is that the Korean models were the better made guitars.

I just picked up a 2020 ec-1000 deluxe with FR by for $549 plus tax. A brand new ec-256 is about the same price at GC, so I went with the ec-1000 ( no brainer! 🤣😂) It’s see thru black with flame top!

I have a Ltd elite eclipse I and a Wylde Audio Odin raw top. I am debating offering a trade for a 2006 Ltd eclipse deluxe. The chunky Odin neck stops me for making an offer. Something about the round profile and bigger spaces between strings is more comfortable. Decisions!

I’ve had my ice cold black heart set on getting the Black Metal Arrow but then I saw the EC 1000 Duncan. But then I heard that gold hardware loses it’s look fast. Then I went back to the Black Metal Arrow. BUT I love the Les Paul shape.

You're going to LOVE the MT15! It's really loud! Check the video I have on my MT50, which is the modded MT15 had that I have that has larger transformers, so it's a 50watt. It's a monster.

Last 2 ESP Eclipse EIIs I bought were defective (hump on fretboard where the neck joins the body. Done with ESP. On to LTD!

I know dudes with full 30+ guitars that are all prestige models. I know a guy with 40 PRS Customs too but that dude is rich AF and has two Ferraris too. I know a guy who had about 35 prestige 6 strings then sold them all to buy 35 prestige seven strings. He's the only dude I know that's ever done anything like that. Literally full swap from sixes to sevens.

The 400 series are great too. I had an EC-400VF that put some Les Paul's to shame. What I don't like about the 1000s is that unless you get the CTM they are mostly 24 fret

Been eyeing the mat black Ec-1000 except it has 24 frets, did they ever make a 1000 with 22?? Also constantly searching for a 2006 ESP Eclipse in Vintage white/cream, if they released a E-II in cream in 2021 would jump on that, I really need cream lol

Bro .... you're too funny. "I talk a lot, I know." It's all good man, I do too. It drives my girl nuts lol. Nice LTD's both. I'm personally not a fan of that body style, but can appreciate it and have always wanted one just to say I have one. My buddy has one, it's all matte black, with red accenting and red EMG's. I played it through his rig and it was fun....but I always want to know what it would sound like through MY rig ya know? Anyway, it's nice to have custom guitars. I I'm looking at the Jackson Juggernaut HT6, Amber Tiger finish with the letter "P" around the 12th fret done in either mother of pearl or abalone. It's Misha Mansoor's (from the band Periphery) signature guitar. I have the pro model which I've modded with the same hardware and pups as the custom shops...but its not the same lol. They're around $3000 - $4000 used from what I've found. The fit and finish between a good $800-$1000 guitar and a custom shop will be noticeable only if you're a guitarist and are looking for the differences. Nice guitars my friend.

My last guitar was a Les Paul prophecy epiphone and man that was a better guitar than any Gibson that had ever played. It came loaded with emg 85 81 pups. Bought it when I was heavy into Black Label Society . Still love BLS and Zakk but my playing and taste in tone has evolved some. Lol I sold the prophecy to a really good friend tho so I still get to see her and play her sometimes.

Those are beautiful guitars! I only have one LTD and I put Bartolini jazz pickups in it. I hated the EMGs. But, its a nice guitar! I will say that most of the pro players I hang out with are more concerned about the feel of the neck more than anything else.

I'm old, been into guitars since age 13. Gibson guitars are overated and way over priced. Good news they hold their value very well. Other than that .... Put it in a closet and buy an ESP LTD EC1000T or E ii. Awesome guitars for the money. Great players. I just can't find fault with them and I have had all major brands through the years. Finally having any guitar is better than no guitar !!!! 😅

Love ur videos man! But beware! Iam about to order a new 2021 ltd-1000 series now and when actually looking at vendors i can see many is made in Indonesia/China. WTF, what haplend whit ”Korea”? Something i missed? Example when i now going thru my ”shop”Thomann i cant see where those are made anymore! Its not marked behind the headstock anymore. Guitarworld gone crazy!
