Yes a different guitar can sound differently for other genres but I think it’s all about how the player uses the tones of the guitar and what style they use to bring out the tone more

I have mastered every genre with my air Guitar.

I'm definitely not a guitar nerd but it's something I realised years ago that it's more about how I pick or strum the guitar, the settings on the amp and what way I held my pick. I never even knew that humbuckers were better for metal until this video! Like the saying goes, it's not about your equipment, it's about about how you use it...

I had been pondering this exact same idea and thought it would be a great video to blind test multiple genre's on the same instrument and see who can tell what. I will soon find out for myself how possible this is! Just ordered an HB 35 Plus which from all appearances appears to be a capable and very flexible instrument. BTW, didn't buy it for Jazz but rather it's incredible flexibility. Another fun fact, this is only the second guitar I have ever bought and owned.

I have two guitars a cheap electric tanglewood, probably 15+ years old that a good friend kindly lent me to get started. And I now have a pretty darn expensive D'angelico Deluxe 175 Ltd edt... I still always play the old tanglewood more than the D'angelico for some reason 🤷

Agree! I played for a band that covered jazz standards, classic rock and pop as well as indie songs. I have a 335, Strat and Tele. Depending on mood or which one has fresh strings was the one I took to a gig. All are great for any genre. Dial in tone and the fingers do the rest.

I played in a few cover bands for over 20 years. All different styles ( metal , rock , country ect ) & only used 1 guitar most of the time. It just happened to be my ARIA PRO II with T top pickups in it. I can get most sounds that I want or like with this guitar. I do own a few other guitars & love the different sounds I get with them, But you can get what you want from Any guitar if you try. I also write & record my own stuff too.
