Just finished 2 adds I found masons twine worked better for me for the loop. Also in my case the retainer bolt wouldn’t go back in until I figured out that I needed to pull the plastic assembly out more . It apparently had gotten bushed inward . After I figured that out everything worked perfectly. Thanks again.
for the life of my I cannot get the T30 screw to engage the trim piece. I did not get the dorman replacement, but I cannot get the original to engage either. Any help appreciated! Thanks!
Is the trim piece fully seated before you try turning the t30? I think I had a tough time the first time I did this repair too. If you look closely I started to insert the trim piece from the front and it wouldn’t seat. If you start the trim piece closest to the handle it should pop in all the way. Hope this is clear what I’m trying to describe
