Reupload, last version was blocked. Philip Rivers and the Chargers head over to Indy to face off against Peyton Manning and the defending champion Colts, in the final game at the old RCA Dome.
These Chargers were looking like a real Cinderella team in 2007 back when everyone expected yet another Colts/Patriots playoff rematch-remember that they gave the undefeated Patriots all they could handle in the AFC Championship a week later even with injuries throughout much of their roster!
It sucks that we just so happened to play the only team ever to be 17-0 at that point, but not only that, they were so much better than any team ever seen and were miles ahead of the 2nd best team (until the super bowl) but honestly the year before was way worse. My god that 06 div. Literally breaks my heart. The only time we were the best team in nfl, we would have beaten the colts, the bears, & wed even beat NE 2/3 times, (and only for THAT specific season,) but... theres SOOOO many, very rare but very key moments in that game, not just that fumbled INT everyone brings up. That was our super bowl year smh
Dude that’s crazy they booed that little girl for being from “New England” that’s on par if not more ruthless than anything the Eagles fans have done. The old Oakland/LA Raiders fans are probably the gnarliest. We moved to San Diego from Hawaii when I was 8 and I got go watch the Dolphins vs Chargers in 2005(Phins-23, Bolts-21) and I remember when we drove into the parking area and the lady checked our tickets and saw me and my brother in the back seat the lady literally told my parents “don’t ever bring them to a Chargers/Raiders game. Kids have been kidnapped, people get shot and stabbed” also I remember Bail Bonds companies used to have commercials play whenever the Raiders came to San Diego. I think it was King Bails Bonds?
This game marked -The last game at the RCA Dome -The Chargers first road playoff win since 1994 -The Colts fifth playoff one-and-done in the Peyton Manning era
It was surprising because everyone knew Peyton and the colts were good. Yet the last bullet point says otherwise because they cannot win games in the postseason that well (from 1998 when manning entered the league to this matchup)
Manning marched up and down the field all game but there were fumbles on the goalline, drops in the red zone, stupid penalties. And the Colts defense couldn't stop any1. This was the perfect example of Manning getting unlucky in Jan.
@@dukedematteo1995 I think that's one of the biggest differences between Brady and Manning, Brady always had a little more luck in January, either by plays or mistakes of the other team, while Manning for some reason always had bad luck in January, or at least it seemed that nothing ran in his favor, but of course, I don't deny that Brady has been better than Peyton, sorry if my english is not good btw
I remember watching this at home and everyone was screaming their lungs out throughout the entire thing. Best post season win the bolts have had so far. Miss hearing them call SD
I love both of these teams. The Chargers had SO much talent. Definitely a shame they never got that SB. This was definitely their year if only they could of beat NE the next week in what was another classic playoff game. The future looks bright for the Bolts today though! I still dislike abandoning the fans in San Diego though.
Manning was never going to win a playoff game in Foxborough. At New England he threw 25 TD passes and 25 INTs. And in the postseason his passer rating was 52.7 on the road against the Patriots.
Hey Bart nice upload! Do you happen to have 2017 Saints vs Packers 2008 Broncos vs Raiders (either matchup from 08) 2007 Chargers vs Raiders (either matchup from 07)
How dominant was Kris Dielman man. One of my favorite Chargers of all time. At one point an all pro right guard and even Seattle wanted to pay big money to sign him. He loved the Chargers and he stayed.
They fumbled twice in the red zone. And in the 2nd half their D couldn't stop the Chargers who didn't have LaDainian or Rivers. That was the absolute worst Mannings supporting cast played around him.
Patriots are seen as the best team to not win a Super Bowl but this Colts team is somewhat forgotten and really is also one of the best to not win. 3rd in scoring offense, 1st in scoring defense. Only losses with Manning were against the Patriots and the Chargers when Manning had a bad game but still could've won if Vinatieri made a short FG. 3rd loss they rested starters. Maybe they wouldn't have beat Patriots in playoffs but never know.
Refs really wanted to bail Manning out by taking away that 89-yard Pick 6 right before the half 🙄 It may have been technically a hold but that doesn’t get called 95% of the time

@Bart Simpson Do you have any Patriots games from 2017-2019?
When Lucas Oil Stadium opened, it made the RCA Dome look like an absolute dump. And the RCA Dome was really never that bad or neglected, it's just that Lucas Oil Stadium was on a completely different plane.
Listen to that crowd! I dont wanna hear rivers slander, the guy was great. Everyone just credits super bowls to the qbs only, as if they are the only player on the team.
Exactly thank you! Rivers was a beyond phenomenal qb. He had some bad breaks and bad luck with those teams. But the guy deserves to be in the HOF in my opinion
I often wonder if the Colts would ever have reached their superbowls in 06 and 09 had they had to face the Chargers in January. Colts had an easier time beating Patriots than they did Chargers between 2005 and 2010...
Nooooo, my comment from your last video got some upvotes too because I said that it was a game that Bob Sanders actually played in. I hate that it was blocked.
This game was infuriating. Manning marched up and down the field every possession, but the Colts managed to fuck it up somehow. Manning really was unlucky alot of the time in postseason. This game was a perfect example.
i’m deep diving into peyton’s career because unfortunately i couldn’t watch him alive but this game should be really really frustrating for peyton. he literally had 1 mistake in the first half, he was dealing, on point on every throw but colts only put 10. also 2 of his interceptions are not his fault, he played beautiful all game long
@@abneryates4304 You'll never win any goat argument over Brady given his 7 rings, 10 appearances, holding the record of every counting stats. Etc Brady's clearly the greatest but as far as the best, Manning in a 10 season window from 2003-13 won 5 MVP'S, 7 all pro's, broke the single season TD record twice, would have held both records if he wasn't benched week 17 vs Denver in 2004, single season passing yardage record. His counting stats would be higher if Dungy/Caldwell didn't pull him after clinching playoff seeding in 7 games over the course of 04-10. Every former defender has point blank said Manning was much tougher to game plan/defend against than Brady ... Being the best QB in 7 of 10 seasons encapsulated how great he was and it's a shame he only won 2 Superbowls. An even bigger shame one of them came against the Bears but he's simply the best QB I've watched, even if Brady's the greatest.
@@abneryates4304 1 or 2? Brady would have been cut within 2 years. Probably never even start. Peyton on NE gets atleast 6 rings in 9 years. Can you imagine a 2000s Belicheck team letting Billy Volek march down the field like it was nothing? Peyton has a near perfect game this night. Even the 2 picks should have been caught. No clean a-gap to step into most of thr game and the Colts still lose by an inch. Meanwhile the next week Brady throws up a 3 pick clunker and the Pats still walk all over the Chargers.
Man as a bolt head do u know me going to high school the next day getting laughed at when we did lose games we shouldn't had. But manning can't eff with us
Coaching, people shit on Norv turner but frankly i don't blame him for his stint in WAS as a HC (Snyder makes any coach look bad) he redeemed himself as a Chargers HC. If Norv was the coach now we would be a SB contender with the talent the Chargers has atm.
We were denied Colts Patriots peyton brady in the afc title game. And we were denied patriots packers in the sb, to see if Favre could slay the Patriots
' I wish the man in the booth would take donations and not call the game or speak a word while Peyton Manning is calling a play..... Itune into a Peyton Manning game to watch what he's gonna do next but I sure would enjoy hearing what he has to say as well but the dog on announcers talk on top of him
Literally every single thing went the Patriots way that season up until the Super Bowl so I knew the Colts would choke because they would have actually had a chance to beat New England, but instead the Patriots got to play the severely wounded Chargers. Thank goodness for the Giants that year!
Manning was never going to win a playoff game in Foxborough. At New England he threw 25 TD passes and 25 INTs. And in the postseason his passer rating was 52.7 on the road against the Patriots.
@@PedroMartinez-tt7lr You're using stats of what happened other years as if that has any relevance to the year in question. The Patriots struggled against a badly injured Chargers team the week after this game, I doubt that play would have resulted in a win against this powerhouse Colts team.
I had forgotten what a jerk Dan Dirdork was when he would prodcast any SD Charger game. Criticize the Chargers while praising the opposite team. All the years he would be the color man in the booth, he would be down playing the Chargers. 27:58 28:01 g
@@PedroMartinez-tt7lr That's just cherry-picking stats. if you'd actually watch the game you'd see that multiple of those "incompletions" were dropped passes.
Wow Its crazy that Nate Kaeding still working in the NFL with the Vikings jjjja thats crazy the most trashy player in the last 20 years for the Chargers.. 💩🗑️🤦🏻♂️ What a game from the D BOLT TFUP! ⚡️ 😁🤘🏻
He played phenomenal this game, what are you talking about? 3 Tds, 70% completion, and his 2 interceptions were tipped balls from his receivers. There were at least 3 other dropped balls as well.
The #1 scoring defense in the NFL that season cant stop Billy Volek from driving down the field. Yes its all Peyton Mannings fault they lost lmao. 402 yards 3 TDs and 2 picks that were tipped that should have been caught. This was a choke by the entire team around Peyton. Like many Colts playoff losses. Drops, missed FGs in the clutch, shitty defense at the end of 4th quarters.
Phony excuses. Peyton Manning was a wreckless gun-slinger in the Playoffs. He forced unnecessary throws that resulted in INTs. Stop the fraudulent excuses for the guy.
@joeruiz4010 why couldn't the defense stop Billy Volek in this game??? Or Mark Sanchez in 2010. Both games Peyton put them ahead for the would be game winning drive? 2012 Broncos defense giving up a Flacco hail mary to sabotage another game winning playoff drive of his???
