1.Colts defense was criminally underrated.Very stacked 2.Peyton coulda actually move really well in his Colts days 3.Ogden pancaked Freeney 4 times on a bad bad toe 4.Jeff Saturday whooped people all game long and should be in the Hall of Fame 5.JosephAddai was criminally underrated - was more dangerous than EDgerin James 6.Ed Reed was a different breed of dangerous.This man had range of nearly 30 yards and could have legit had 4 ints this game if not for lack of luck and refs.Man would pick off anything anywhere from anyone 7.Dallas Clark does not get the respect he deserves 8.Ravens had no offense for like 12 years until Joe Flacco Showed up and wasted a lot of years with trash defenses 9.Colts should have had more than 1 ring during Peytons era and Lucks era 10.2006 Ravens defense is maybe the 3rd best defense of 21st century after 2000Ravens and 2002 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

No I watched the Colts cause of Manning my favorite player. However that defense was awful they just got hot for 4 games. Freeney & Mathis great pass rush guys outside of that. The D did very little cause Bob Sanders was always hurt. Manning had no help in the defense Indy winning 1 Super Bowl was disappointing they should have won more. Their D Line sucked against the run & their O Line wasn’t good Manning just got rid of the ball so fast.

@@patrickgray5633 I'll disagree on the O line, it was pretty good but Manning's quick release certainly made it "better." I'm prejudiced of course, but I call Morino and Manning GOATs for what they accomplished, Danny w/o a running game, Peyton w/o a D. Anyone could've won with that stacked NE team as Matt Cassell proved.

I disagree on Addai being more explosive than Edgerrin James but he definitely could have had a longer career with more 1,000 yard seasons if he didn't get hurt. Great dual threat RB! @@dustinbunting4652 People forget this was an even matchup on paper. The Colts had the #1 seed for much of the season but fell off thanks to being without Bob Sanders. @P0RKINS2
@P0RKINS2 Год назад
Both of Peyton’s INTs ended up being made up for w/ INTs by the IND defense. In positioning the Colts offense for Vinatieri’s 5 Field Goals; Peyton Manning & the Colts converted 66.7% of their other 12 3rd down chances vs the stingiest defense (201 points allowed) of the post-2004 Illegal contact era. The 2006 Ravens had 40 takeaways, led the NFL in INTs, Red Zone defense (33.3%), 3rd Down defense (28.8%), 2nd in run defense (3.3 YPA), 1st in rushing TDs allowed (5), and 1st in TOP, plays, yards allowed & points allowed per drive. In fact the Colts offense was 46% more successful than the average offense vs the 2006 Ravens at converting on 3rd down & produced scoring drives at a 133.3% higher rate than the 2006 Ravens allowed normally. Sure it may not wow people statistically & Ed Reed should’ve had 4 INTs in this one instead of just 2. But the Colts beat the equivalent of a 2000 Ravens, 1985 Bears, 2013 Seahawks, 2015 Broncos type defense in this game. Beating a defense that good is going to look ugly. This game was ugly for the Colts but their defense was up to the task & Peyton made the greatest throw of his career to Dallas Clark to seal the win.
