i got the GT model too but with the sport package and aero kit, this car is a good buy and one of the most reliable engines out there if taken care of, very underrated car.
@@LFGBILLS i sold my special edition GT years ago, i have a 370z nismo now that i plan to boost. But the eclipse GT was a good car in college with a good amount of healthy power to have fun

Honestly, all I have is positive reviews on this car. I have the 2006 3.8L V6 model standard and done about everything with it. Had it for more than 3 years and haven't regretted the 170,000+ miles on it. NOW, the one thing everyone waits for.....the only problems you may have is depending on how you drive the car overall. High revs and tough roads can put a dent in your pocket....but what do you expect from a "Sports" car.
Just bought a Solar Yellow 2009 GT V6 6 speed, only 73k miles. I love the car so much, I’m so impressed with how it drives, it’s quick, handles good, the sound of the exhaust is sexy, and I love the sound system and sunroof!
How much did you pay for it. Also, this engine has a timing belt which must be replaced every 60k miles because if it breaks the engine will be destroyed. When I see an Eclipse sold with just over 60k miles I assume that the owner decided to sell it rather than to spend $1200 to get the belt replaced. If you can't find proof that it was replaced you need to do it.
I bought this car in black with the convertible top, black leather interior, and 6 speed manual. It's been a little over a year now and I've still had no problems with it. All I've had to do is oil changes and I had gotten a flat after only having it a month. Wider than the standard tires so it was more expensive to replace than normal. Since then I haven't even had any tire ware yet. I even used this car to deliver pizza's. It already had over 100,000 miles on it when I got it so I'm really shocked that it still works like new. I'm just gonna keep doing oil changes a little early (on time at the latest) and using premium gas ONLY, for the V6. I own it in about 3 or 4 months. The month after the final payment I plan to start doing more preventative maintenance like tranny flush etc. As long as I don't have an accident or something I should still have it when it's a classic in 2027. 9 years to go. I hope to get a different daily driver and make this one either a weekend cruiser or a project car. Extremely under rated car, not many like it but I bet they'll like it as a classic. I love my 07 Eclipse GT Spyder. Although I do wish it was RWD or AWD just for added excitement but it's not necessary. It really does drive very well in the snow so I can't complain lol
I bought new 2008 black gt now 66 thousand miles Car is awesome looks new drives great still as fast as the day I drove out of the car dealership. This car turns heads there are few around.
This looks a whole lot like my car back do not take my car was the GT version of the eclipse. When my grandpa bought me this car he said it was a Mitsubishi eclipse from 2007. I don't remember ever saying GT eclipse. But this Car looks a whole lot like it.
i just bought a 2007 GT convertible and i had no idea there was a trunk button hidden on the outside lol...i was looking on the inside of the car for that darn thing..lol 🙊🙊🙊
I really wished it had a USB port for playing MP3s because the stereo deck is far from standard shape so not sure if getting an aftermarket unit to fit is even possible?
Turco949 your best bet is to buy a fm radio bluetooth transmitter...it works well for me since i like using my aux cable to listen to my music on my phone...just plug it in the cigarette lighter port and find a blank station and you'll be able to listen to your music without having to replace the console.. $17.00 at walmart...

you can go to the dealership and ask for an adapter with a 3.5mm cable. I have one of those. The mechanic would have to connect it to the back of the rockford fosgate.
The radio has the ports on the back of it so you can install an audio jack that you can plug into the headphone jack on any device. I have that same car and that is what I did so I can listen to music on my phone while in my car.
Did that car have the Slap Shifter?? Mine is only a 4 cylinder but has the slap shifter Auto/Manual transmission . same color same car just 4 not 6 and the transmission is cooler on mine. Have not driven mine in about a year.. needs s little work. Check engine light keeps coming on even though it runs great has temp gauge never overheats.. Battery goes dead if it sits up for too long and one tire has a steady leak.. Just got married and had a kid so covered it until I can afford to fix her up ... Driving a mini Van for now :-(
