Lived with no AC for almost two years, until I watched this video. The first fuse you told me to check was blown, replaced it and now I'm back in business with nice cold air. I feel pretty dumb that I didn't check with you earlier. Thanks a million!
Brother.... Mine stopped blowing cold last summer here in Texas.. I tried to put freon in it said I had problem with main system... So I just knew it was the compressor and I basically had no air no more... Well I just watched this video and I had a couple new 10 amp fuses.. so I just popped out the first 2 you mentioned in the video and my air works like brand-new again!!!! Dude I feel like buying you flowers and taking you out for a steak!! Lol God bless you!!
It’s 2 years but I’d like to know if the 2 fuses you pulled were burnt or LOOK good and when you replaced with FRESH NEW fuses it started working?? Thanks Brother
Dude, thank you!!! #13 fuse popped on my two days ago on my 08 f150 towing a weekend warrior fs2300. The truck over headed and AC completely shut off almost to the top of hwy 178 going to Kernville. You just save me from hearing it from the wife and 3 kids!!!!!! Thank you!!!!!
i have the 4x4 and there is only one relay, like this one. But, the ford symbol is facing the other way. Had a new AC compressor installed and now clutch is not engaging. Wondering if i need to flip it around. They might have put relay in backwards.
Question, I have the complete opposite problem everyone else seems to have, my AC and blower motor turn on by themselves sometimes while driving often while parked and its killing my battery every other day. Other than an exorcism how can stop it from coming on, I've pulled the blower fuse and it still killed the battery, the ac light still comes on by itself.
I try recharging my 07 f150 ac but the gage goes all the way to the red section, do I have to take to a technician?? Stop working after I just pressure wash my truck. Thanx!
Very good, clear explanation. And it's pretty close to my own truck other than the 4X. Why is it not a good idea to temporarily bypass the relay connection unless you're sure the system is adequately charged? I'm learning this and want to have a clear, holistic understanding of the system.
Hi there , been traveling with my f150 2006 . Was pretty got Just stopped for gas and had some smoke . Looks like it was the a/c compressor . I did removed the two fuses you're showing on the video . But now I got Chek engine light and a little key little up . Does anyone have an idea What can be wrong with ? Anyrhing would be really helpfull Thanks
Out was raining yesterday and I went through a pool of water and 1st my ac stopped working when circulation on today its not working at all and advice please and ty in advance
#14 fuse man that fuse powers the abs the transmission range switch and the clutch cycling switch. Blow that fuse and your in for a real fun diagnostic had several trucks with intermittent shorts. Always a 07 f150. Ugh
What did you do to fix your issue. I am having the same issue on my 2007 ford f150. I replaced all the fuses he showed in the video except the one under the hood. I plugged that one back in and then started the truck up and the a/c was working, then halfway to work 5 miles later it started blowing hot air again.
Help me!!! This video was helpful but I’m still chasing my tail. I replaced my blower motor and the blower motor resistor and my ac system is charged and the fan will blow and it will blow cold air fast but it doesn’t blow constant air it turns off and on again
I am having trouble with my ac it will work for about 15 minutes than it will cut off checked all the fuses and everything is there something else that might help thank you
Strangely enough that fuse #11 I put a new one and it blew it? Then I tried another one and same thing over and over again keeps blowing the fuse idk why
UPDATE, I changed the Relay switch out in the AUX Box under the hood and the diode and Glory goes to God! I got Cold A/C here down in Texas! It's 98° today! Lol but I will be riding cool
I have an issue with my clutch fans running on high and dropping back to normal afew minutes apart after turning a/c on. 2011 f-150,xlt lariat, 3.5 eco boost. Any ideas?
abs, a/c , cruise control fuse kept blowing. It was the 7 prong trailer connection just wanted to share, I haven't seen no videos out there showing that it was the seven prong connector. it took me a few days to figure out hope this save somebody some time.
I have 2005 f-150 lariat 4x4 and ac will crank on and turn off immediately and turn back on and right back off etc... I have changed the ac compressor relay and 3 fuses(10,10,&15). The problem continues.
Relay got good + & good -. When i jump it ac works fine. So i changed the relay and it still doesn't blow cold. When i jumped it, i also tried putting the can of ac and it said it was full. 🤷♂️🤷♀️🤷
@@10millibilly95 hmm maybe your compressor is out. Unless it’s in your dash. I took my 06 2WD F150 to my mechanic and he said all of my stuff is good. I don’t think he checked the fuses or relays. So, I’m going to try that now. Trust me it’s frustrating. Cause my AC compressor turns on but once it gets to its limit. It doesn’t turn back on. It just starts blowing air. Sometimes it kicks back on but it’s rare. One time I even turned on my air on and nothing came out for a couple seconds. So, my bet it’s electrical.
Retired Catapiller Heavy Equipment Mechanic. Great video doing a electric fan conversion. Looking how to wire fans. Thank you for the a/c side. Now i need engine fan electrical wiring. I may have to buy a kit. Unless you can help God bless. 2007 f-150 5.4 electric fan conversion. Gonna see if 2013 fan assembly will work. Junk yards
You said it backwards. Might use a Voltmeter before you rig something buddy. It's lower left, upper right. You'll need a resistor, because 14.23V coming through
Try checking your AC compressor cluth gap. If you have a gap, try removing a chim or two from the AC compressor cluth. Hope this helps. Keep me posted.
