Man things certainly have changed in the last 60 years. We used to be fixing Chevelles,Dart's,Challengers, Mustangs, square body GMC's. They were easy to fix and simple. Lots of room for your elbows . But now ,Holy cow Roy ,you now have the dismantle 10 things to get to the 1 thing that you needed to gain access to. I only stick with 1 brand of manufacturer,and the car and truck are 20 ~17 years old. They are just as difficult as that Ford .
I've had vehicles that you can crawl up underneath the hood and put your feet down on the frame to work on. This stupid car you can barely get your hand down in the engine compartment. Eventually I should be able to start working on a 1989 Dodge 3/4 ton square body with the 5.9 l Cummins in it. Maybe I can stick my feet on the frame. Just like the old 1990 that's going to waste out on the farm in the back of a hay field. Currently the 89 doesn't have any right side fender at all. So I can step over the tire and sit on it. It also doesn't have a hood. If I had the time and ingenuity I would pull the other fender up also. Then I would build a tilt hood for it. It's so much easier to work on stuff but the cab or Hood tilts. It's sort of like working on an old farm tractor
