I just subscribed and left a comment on Your video for Setting the clock; So glad I found this. I just purchased my used 2006 And at first I thought the compartment on the floor was to hold the spare tire. ( I recently found out where it actually was.) But I was still puzzled about the big space in that floor compartment and when I Removed the cushion. On the middle seat I Just shoved it under the middle console. Now I know what to do with it. Sometimes it takes a person like you to point out. Some of the simplest things that most people overlook or would not think of trying possibly for fear of breaking something; Either way, I want to thank you again.

ETPC Epic Time Pass Channel, I watched the start of this video as it showed me that the seat goes in parallel to the van, rather crosswise in the storage. The way it was when you took it out was nice to see how it fit in there, then I went out took a look at mine and flipped it around, with the seat on the right side of the compartment, so I could use the handle, which was now at the back, and stuck the cushion on the left side with the software side up.. NICE!!! then came back in and finished this video and saw you put it back into storage the same way I did... great minds.. :) One thing to note... that black cord with white hook!!!! move your passenger front seat a bit forward if you didn't already, and then lean the back of it forward a bit. Take that white hook and hook it onto the handle on the back of the passenger seat.. this will hold that stupid latch door open while you fuss with getting the seat in and out of it. :) I always wondered the purpose of that hook on our old van as it would just get in the way when removing the spare tire which is stored in that location (2004 odyssey).. Read the owners manual that came with our 2007 and - AHA. . That's what that hook is for. :) Thanks for the video, it helped me figure how to put the seat away.

This is the only video that I found useful that is close to my 2006 Honda Odyssey and I was able to take the middle seat out now my issue is sliding the seat sideways I got to figure out how to do that but that would be in another video perhaps

Hi ROSA, you can simply pull the lever to unhook the chair tilt it on the rail and slide it over and lock it back down :)

Thinking about buying this generation of odyssey, are the two outside seats in the second row removable from the van? If so, could the middle plus seat be upright in place by it's own? Thanks for the video for any info!

yes you could remove all the seats.. and the middle ones you can configure in pretty much any way you want. they are easy to remove too

I wish someone would explain how to install a lap seat belt for that jump seat. I see bolt kits being sold and also lap seat belts but can not find instructions on how and where to mount to the floor. :(

It's in the ceiling. And it has two connection points, one on the left of lapbelt and one on the right of lapbelt. The one on the right is like any other seatbelt but the one on the left requires sticking the car key into a slot to release it. Crazy, right? (I have a 2009, EX-L: other years might be different.)

Hello hope u can help. I can open the seat I can install the seat but the back rest/ head rest part wont open, its jammed. I can pull on the strap but it doesnt open

YOU can remove the middle seat and put the captains seat there.. it comes out similar to the middle seat.. there is a lever on the side

not stock.. YOU would have to modify it.. it could be done with a hasp system I think :)

All Dodge products are of the worst cars and trucks money can by. This is a long time mechanic. Funny that you pick your brands based on one stupid little feature like a seat and not on reliability and quality. Not very bright in this section here...

@@troyakieman721 yes!!and that's the mechanics...what about the the cheap ass Lego block interiors that they stuff full of so many useless commodities to fool fools into thinking they are seeing a well made, well provisioned vehicle when all that's really there are a bunch prefab plastic cubicles with latching systems that break long before the vehicle is even played off....and resale value....hahhhahaaa....what resale value???

Wow I have never even heard of that in a van.. I assume they have different options.. Possibly at a salvage yard (junk yard) you might be able to get a seat or from the dealership

The lazy Susan works great, if you ever remember it’s there and it would be a good place to store Emergency Items, it out of sight , out of mind. I am going to see if I can remove mine for 8th seat storage. It’s in my garage 90% of the time.

I would say that is pretty close .. I haven't measured ... ohhh brb.. gonna go measure... okay.. yeah 7 to the bottom of the lid when it closes

@@ETPCYT yeah I didnt have a tape measure with me took a guess. Its around 7" but not all areas lets hope my slim 12" fits. Subwoofer comes in at 6" 3/4 Haha
