A few weeks ago we brought you a video on the new WK2 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 here: • 2012 Jeep Grand Cherok...
This week, we got some seat time in this WK 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8. Thanks to our friends at Gene Butman Ford in Ypsilanti for allowing us to test their car. Aftermarket parts include a Borla exhaust and a K&N cold air intake.
For the best video experience, we recommend wearing a good set of headphones for the POV Test Drive. The audio in this video was recorded with binaural microphones that, when played back through headphones, give the feel of 3D sound. Trick stuff.

swiper no swiping when I got it only had 68k and now it’s heading on 90k no issues besides a water pump and I’d say do it if you really want one it’s really difficult finding one under 70 but depends how much wouldn’t pay over 23k for it

Amazing SUV. I like the German offerings and even though they do the luxury aspect better the Jeep can pretty much keep up and costs a hell of a lot less to buy and maintain.

I almost bought one before I got my 5.0L Mustang. 0-60 and 1/4 mile is similar (Mustang runs a higher mph). The thing that scares me away was the fuel cost, engine dropping valve seat issue, and the cost of the tires. It's a high load high speed low profile tire. There isn't much out there for options, what is out there is expensive. Like $2-3k. On my commute and the way I drive this would be about twice the fuel cost of my Mustang (right now about $50-$75 every 2 weeks).

The GTis are tuned. And it doesn't *have to* beat all these cars because of the substantial amount of BHP since the RRS is 2 tons, so a light car would have the edge on me a lot of times.

Thinking about getting 2010 jeep srt8 loaded from a dealership there asking 14,995 thousand miles it has 150,xxx miles. First time in dealership. Interest rate they told me 18.00% if I put 4k down payment is it worth it get. Are the parts modifications expensive & maintenance?? What you people think???

I agree, the whole interior was improved after the facelift with the more symmetrical buttons on the dashboard, far better infotainment, black interior, nicer seats (on non-SRT-8s), leather door arm rests, heated rear seats and also a reverse camera.

Yeah, I find the X5M's engine a bit boring, but I love the SRT and Cayenne Turbo. At the same price it would be a hard choice, but I think with the £20-40k saving for the Jeep I'd have to go for the Jeep.

You seem to have said that you have more knowledge on these cars because your 600 BHP RRS will beat a 420 BHP Jeep, 420 BHP Audi R8, either 340 or 420 BHP M3 and 200 BHP Golf GTis. I think this is expected, at least off the line.

This Borka S is useless in normal DD. Waaay too much drone, that make your ears bleed. Its a shame, that they didn't fix it. Best looking tips and worst drone inside cabin.

Unfortunately both of you know little or nothing about these cars. Just going to throw it out here, I own a 2012 Range Rover Sport with the supercharged engine, which is already at stock quicker than a Cayenne S as I've raced several on the track. I've remapped it and tweaked a bit with filters and all and it's now at 600HP. I've easily beaten an STR-8 Jeep in a straight line dash, on several takes. Thanks.

I have a 2007 Grand Jeep Cherokee SR8 and the brakes squeak. Once the car is warm the squeeking stops. Had a mechanic check the brakes and he said nothing is wrong with the brakes. Has anyone else had this problem? Can anyone tell me what the problem is?

+John B when the brakes were installed, they should've put grease between the caliper and the brake pads. Try adding grease if problem is still existent

+John B This is a common problem for these WK1 Srt8 Jeeps. Mines use to squeak too. go on the srt8 jeep forum and you'll find out how to get rid of the squeak.

Ceramic brakes squeak when cold. mine stop squeaking after a mile or so
