I just replaced my radiator and watching your video first, gave me a good idea on what to expect. Two things I did differently: to help line up the radiator and condenser holes, I zip tied the condenser up high, so that it's not sitting at the bottom when I put the new radiator in. Since I also have an aftermarket transmission cooler, the cooler lines made it almost impossible to put the lower passenger side screw back in. After many different attempts, I decided to put a small drop of Crazy Glue to the screw, and glued it to a ratcheting wrench. I was den able to line up the screw to the hole and with the help of a flat head screw driver to add some pressure, I got the screw to go in. The glue broke off as I was ratcheting the screw in, so it worked perfectly.

You can also put a paper towel over the head of the bolt then stick it in the socket or wrench, it helps in a pinch.

Great video, I went nuts trying to line the final 2 TIGHT SQUEEZE bolts. left em out because I didn't want to stress the plastic. Everything else went in perfect. thanks 4 the heads up on it not lining up. I ZIPPED IT IN PLACE. No shaking. Peace.

yo thank you so much for this video. with absolutely no experience as a mechanic I decided to do it myself and save over $1000. exact make and model as mine. One thing I did different is start the car up and add a constant flow of coolant with the heat on full blast. A friend of mine told me this will prevent any air pockets.

You're welcome! It's been over a year since we replaced the radiator and I'm happy to report no problems.Be sure to check your clamps on your hoses after the first drive or two to make sure you're not leaking any coolant. Be safe out there!

Awesome video! Helped us with our last minute install. My radiator decided to take a crap on me the day before we were supposed to take a 6 hours drive out of state. Luckily we were able to get one from O'Reileys and replaced it the same day we left. Only took a couple hours at the most. Thanks so much!!!! On a side note: After we did the install, I got a P0113 code. P0113 Intake Air Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit High Input. Did you have anything like that or know what could be the culprit. We made sure everything was plugged back in.

Sorry for the delay in my response. No, we did not have any codes after the install. Thanks for watching 👍

Why did you go back to a factory radiator. Thanks for the video I'm installing a 2 core aluminum radiator tax and shipping 298$.

Did you have any functional issues like over heating from that aftermarket radiator? Thinking I may just purchase the Jeep OE radiator after watching this. Great video. Thanks!

No overheating issues whatsoever with the aftermarket radiator, just minor fitment issues. Thanks for watching and thanks for commenting!

Does that jeep have a transmission cooler? Mine is overheating according to code. 2007

I don't think it had a transmission cooler. It was a 6-speed manual. I do not recall a transmission cooler. We no longer have the Jeep. The engine took a dump on us LOL
