I agree,i dont think any of the newer generation Mercedes look as good as the old,Especially the sporty models..they just done look as aggressive as the older E320 (sport package) & E63s.
My name is Phil actually. Only my grandmother calls me Philip and you ain't her! Hey whatever anyway dude, you're missing my point entirely....lighten up won't you, don't take life so seriously hahaha.....
My beautiful and amazing mistress Ok. You make an intelligent point. When I say gangsta, I'm meaning badass or cool. I live in New Zealand. It's part of the popular urban vernacular here to use this phrase when ever the feeling may arise-in that context, as in Awesome!! I'm not going to comment on your feelings about American culture. Let's just leave that be. Anyways at least we understand each other better now✌🏻. Horse lover?!? Haha, I know what you mean...cool.
I like the 2006-2012 design the best! However, I don't care for the newer E63 design (2013+) because they took away the luxury style and made it look like a sport C class. Anyways, how spacious is the interior of the E63? I need a bigger car, my family has outgrown my Viper SRT10
Note to self - don't but this car since it may possibly been abused. 😜 if you love the car so much why can't you find a way to keep it. I have owned my BMW M5 since new - 30 years. 450k miles and will never sell it. I have other cars but this one is a keeper.
I've got a 08 E350 with 170,000 miles. Most reliable car I've ever owned. Yeah, its not an amg but its an awesome daily driver. I don't think I'll ever give her up!
I'm a S65 AMG owner, a 2005 W220 last face lifted model before W221 was released, and i tell you all, that W220 body is the best looking body ever on a S Class!!! And this E63 is the best body on a E Class ever!!! For the last 8-9 years Mb really has messed it up design wise!!!
At first impressions, I was expecting you to reel off some stats and go on about how easy it was to drive in traffic on the way to your lawyers firm. Then you you ripped a skid in an underground carpark in an AMG E63. Faith restored... KUDOS.
I feel your pain. vetb882 Sigh, I am in love all over again. Financial crises forced me to sell my 06 E-55 but DAMN I have missed my baby every day since she left our family. I am an ex race winning dirt bike racer so you can imagine how I DROVE this ting, first few weeks I saw mu life flash before my eyes MANY time before I realized, take the AMG Academy dummy before luck runs out. Wisest decision ever. Lime Rock Park is where I realized 20 years of racing 2 wheels didn't man squat on 4 wheels. But it made me 100 times better driver...or bigger menace depending which side of the law you are on...lol Thank you for this video cos you reminded me WHY I loved this car. Few reading this will ever drive and SLS AMG, I DID and while it is a much better RACE track vehicle, it is NOT as fast as this and the manners are calmer, where as the E-55 is a str8 uPHOOLIGAN... I called it my "Brute in a suit" cos thats what she was, like me. Dress me up in finery and I hob nob with the best of them, but at the slightest provocation I am a RAGING VIRAGO ready to rip you b*lls off. I pray that the same God that blessed me to own this magnificent beast will move me into another one soon. :-D
I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY CHANGED THE REAR OF THE E63 TO LOOK LIKE THE S CLASS THIS YEAR THEY LOOKED SO FUCKING GOOD ALL 3 PRIOR GENERATIONS!! I'M NEVER SELLING MY C63 I took this as inspiration for my n/a c63 amg 2009. In the shop now getting MHP cam, Weistec forged internals, weistec built Trans, Weistec sls black series valve buckets, Weistec (too many little things to list,i.e. oil Sep, etc), weistec crankshaft cf, weistec clutch pack, Agency power headers, eisenmann exhaust and a nitrousexpress 100 shot wet kit. I already have my wide body kit from HMS and some suspension upgrades based off the c63 black series (which I will definitely need to get tuned), e63 2 piece rotors we are hoping we can put 315s on the rear with the new forgestars but only time will tell. Can't wait to put it on video!!! Should be done by Feb 2017 . Thanks to this video I pulled the trigger on these thanks man!!! lol 3 different shops working together is annoying!
What a beautiful w211, tastefully modified. I only have a lowly 2003 e270, however one day hopefully a E55 or E63. If I do get one I would love to have the same subtle body kit as you had on this. I hate ricer/boy racer cars in general but this looks fantastic.
Ended up replacing it with an 09 CLK350 and an 02 SL500 Silver Arrow Edition. The SL was my childhood dream car and then picked up my other childhood dream car after which is a W140 S500.
Curious how your exhaust shop went about pulling the tips back 1 to 2 in. I have black on black 2009 E63 AMG with the carbon fiber diffuser and my tips are kind of hidden.
Beautiful car! Classy. tinkering to replace my 135i with this (2009) as the seller is offering reputable warranty. What was your ownership experience like? High running costs?
thehchen I had it serviced at an Indy shop. They don't hammer you with the AMG tax that the dealerships do. So really it's not bad. Coming from a 135i, I wouldn't anticipate much of a change.
Well you are letting go of this one and I'm buying one, well similar CLS 63 AMG 07 . You must have changed the exhaust , not sure I could take that .. Thanks
considering buying a 60,000km 07 but the reliability has me second guessing along with price scares that come along with it. I just wanted to know from a owner stand point how was your overall experience in terms of reliability??
Nice ride, I currently have a 2008 C300 4matic and thinking of picking up one of these...how was you gas milage...gas hog? this car just looks much more elegant but yet sport as well.
We drove a 2011 E63 and really loved the car (we have a video on our channel). It's super loud when your on it, but super quiet just driving around the city. Do you still miss your E63??
I hate how in the states whenever you open the door of a car the seat belt alarm keeps beeping on and on. jesus christ wait till I'm in my seat and start the engine!
Mine is a 2003 E55, had it for 6-7 months with zero issues. Still love to drive it. Contrary to what this gentleman did I don't think there is a "Better Newer Mercedes" out there to give this one up for. There are a bit more powerful MBs for 20 grand more but they're more trouble than the earlier E55/E63 that includes the CLA series. This E63 can easily get upgraded to 700+HP with far less cost than buying newer models and insurance would be lower too.
nice video and great car .. I own the same one but in silver ...did u do the resonator delete ? because it sounds a Lil more aggressive than mine .. also anyone thinking of getting one I say make the move ...these are special and rare .. only a lil over 3k made
I never drove it in the snow. But I had a W203 on coilovers that was RWD. Drove that through some serious snowstorms and was my mountain runner for snowboarding. Just throttle control and good winter tires.
So it’s April 2022, I bought this car a week ago, from the next owner, ( a very nice gentleman that treated the car great) the car has now 125.000 km, runs like a champ, and I can confirm that no other stunts or burnouts were performed within the last 6 years, the car truly stands the test of time. Even today it’s a stunning vehicle, and I’m very happy that it’s going to spend a lot of it’s life with me.
@@TTRWorldofCars888 yes sir, the very same car, thank you very much. It’s still in Edmonton. If you miss it, we can arrange something sometime for you to see it again 🙂
I watch this video often, as I'm about to take possession of a 2008 E63 AMG. Looking forward to it. I have one question for you, when the doors are closed and you're in the car, you mention something about the exhaust system. I think you're saying it's valved? It appears that you're switching between "quiet" and "beast" modes. Am I mistaken? Could you share a bit more on the exhaust mod? I plan on deleting the resonator, and maybe an x-pipe, but I want to hear from you first. Well, I actually have two questions, the second question: at 2:20 it appears that the driver side fog was illuminated before the passenger side, and then when the front end was in full view at 2:27, it appears that the passenger side becomes illuminated and the driver side is not. Is there an independent control switch for the two fog lights? Thanks for posting!
Kirk Denson haha glad you enjoy the video. The exhaust system I put in was a muffler bypass valve. It dumps the exhaust down right before the mufflers, didn't do anything else to it other than that. With the mods you're planning itll sound even better. As for the fog lights it's a passive feature on the car that under lower light conditions it turns on the fog light in the direction that you're turning at low speed to help illuminate pedestrians. This was the technology before active headlights were invented.
Very cool feature, on the fog lights, I was aware of the function while driving but didn't know it would activate in a parking garage setting. Nice. Could you tell me if you would use your muffler bypass *with* the resonator delete? Also, would you mind telling me which bypass you bought? There are so many options out there...
love2understand pretty easy, turn off traction control, press firm on the brakes, roll in the throttle, adjust brake pressure accordingly to let rear wheels spin but front wheels keeping you in place.
Albert Thane lol not broke. I could buy it back if I wanted to. Just not economical as a daily driver in rush hour traffic. 29L/100km in traffic. That's just being stupid to drive in gridlock crawling traffic.
E63 certainly looks better, more aggressive styling. But you can easily get the kit for the E55. I would say the E55 is much easier to tune and the torque on it is ridiculous. E55 dollar for dollar modding would be more effective. Also, E55 power train I would say is more reliable.
+TTR: World of Cars Yes the torque on the e55 is insane, but I feel the e63 has a better sounding exhaust and a little bit better build quality. Did you ever have any major reliability issues with your e63?
@@TTRWorldofCars888 yes. Haha. I did the same. I have a GL 450, but I really wanted a daily driver that wouldn't break the bank on gas and mantainence, got a 2008 clk 350 grand edition. Very happy, just in rainy days or winter y drive the GL or forester
It's certainly a different kind of thrill. It actually handled really well on some twisted with the adjustable dampers, but of course it won't handle the same as the natural balance of an E46. Had the opportunity to drive an E90 M3 and was really disappointed with the engine, it felt quite gutless. However, once again the innate handling of the chassis was very impressive.
try the c63 amg same engine and you can get a tune for 540hp, it weighs less and is just that much more compact. It will be an easy transition from the m3 to this. I had a black e46 m3 and went to this. thought about the e63 but it was just too big and I could get better performance out of the c63
Thanks for reply, I need your advice I have Volkswagen CC 2013, and someone offering me to change my car to 2007 Mercedes E63 AMG, what do you thing about this? My car is quite new, and I scared that the Merc will have some issues (because its old) Whats the pros and cons, let me know, is it worth to change
