abelign, I agree! I like watching a smaller player against big players. much more entertaining than those big fellows just using their big body against the small ones.
Ryan Dupont Your delusional if you honestly think Lebron will still be dominating at 38...He will be a bench player by that age..He has at most 2-3 years left as a MVP caliber player. And if you have no idea how to use the phrase atleast...That implies at most he will playing until the age of like 42- 45 ..Which is ridiculous.
To be fair they had kawhi and robinson and jackson and finley but their 05 title was pretty special cause it was a true big 3 with rotation pieces like barry horry bowen nazr and a hair of udrih and devin around them in the games that mattered....
I don't like LeBron but you gotta respect what he's done here. He just a year ahead of drinking age and he brought a bunch of decent to scrubs in the finals.
Shitty Gamer! - You and Lebron fans are the only ones calling the 2007 Spurs a super team. The only reason you call them that is so that you can make Lebron look better. Duncan, Parker and Ginobili were drafted, they didn't come from different teams to play on one team unlike Lebron who did.
WAV3S ツ This Spurs team was one of the top 3 teams of the 2000s. Duncan, Parker, and Ginobili were all in their prime. The fact that their top 3 players were all drafted doesn't take away the fact that they were a super team. Not to mention they only lost 4 games in the playoffs.
We were there, up in the nosebleed seats, getting beer thrown on us because we are Spurs fans. It was great to see our favorite team win the title in person!!
Ginobili's basketball IQ is paramount. when he penetrate the basket he know how to position his body in a good angle so that its easy to shoot the ball, to pass and avoid being block. and that bullet pass. damn. its so godly.
yup the showtime lakers had fallen apart years earlier, the suns were just a regular season team, golden state with b-diddy knocked out the only threat in the entire league to beat San Antonio by sweeping Dallas, Houston wasnt a major threat but injuries made them very beatable, The east was weak af, the path to a championship was imminent
LeBron 4 finals losses are only maximized because we live in the social media era. People quick to say he choked. Don't take away the Spurs greatness with this team and that 2014 team they could've beaten the 96 Bulls. Especially if they had Leonard.
LeBron choked and was averaging 20 a game so shut up guy lol. also in 2011 he choked worse then anyone in nba history. LeBron had an 8 point game in the finals lmfa o.
The spurs team has been the toughest rival for lebron cause he think he is the only dominant player on his team. The spurs team pretty much see their colleagues as equal as them. peace :-)
Lmao that moment really captures LeBron immaturity at the time instead of leading his team and trying to inspire them he's the one sitting down on the bench biting his finger nails making faces he wasn't feeling his mates at all 😂
The spurs legit could of played small and just gone duncan or horry at c with finley bowen manu parker barry vaughn and probably smashed ran the cavs off the court....playing a slow bum like elson probably hurt the spurs this series
i remember coming back inside my house from hanging out all day with my friends and saw my parents sitting on the couch eating sunflower seeds cheering the spurs on, i sat down and instantly loved the spurs franchise i also have lived in san antonio for about 5 years luckily i was there for the 2014 finals and downtown san antonio was going wild everyone was popping fireworks it's not just the team that's great but San Antonio in general is a great place
@@chitownkidd33 L comment bro. LeBron led a '07 Cavs team lacking another consistent offensive threat. He essentially carried the offensive load throughout the playoffs. Not to mention, was everywhere on defense. His Game 5 vs. Pistons remains iconic. Even though the Pistons didnt have Ben, their seasoned '04 core remained. They choked. Stop being a hater. Bron was 22 lmao
The best basketball from the greatest big three of the last two decades. Sensational behavior inside and outside the court. They really love the game...
Blazed Bob tf this guy talking bout. U got curry, magic, robertson, thomas, stockton, kidd, nash, cp3, i dont even think he’s in my top 10. Pg is just a stack position
@@polishsausage4655 1. Magic Johnson 2. John Stockton 3. Oscar Robertson 4. Jerry West 5. Isiah Thomas 6. Jason Kidd 7. Steve Nash 8. Steph Curry 9. Chris Paul 10. Gary Payton
Uncle Drew23 Before they faced Cleveland the Spurs averaged 100+ a game during the post-season. The Cavs held them to less than 90 during 3 of the 4 games they played and held Duncan to his second worse % for his finals career. Aside from LeBron the Cavs also had 2 double digits scorers shooting above 43%. I'm not saying they should've won.... but considering Deron Williams was able to win 1 game against them with Carlos Boozer being his only help it's safe to say the Cavs should've been able to steal atleast 1 game as well.
because they faced two 0.500 teams and the Pistons without 4x DPOY Ben Wallace or coach Larry Brown. Probably the easiest path to the Finals since the 1987 Lakers
How is it not the easiest since 1987? That is the only time since 1987 that a team beat two 0.500 teams to make the finals. And the 2007 Pistons were nowhere near 2004 or 2005 without 4x DPOY Ben Wallace and with flip Saunders replacing coach Larry brown.
Alex Jauregui I'm talking about the 2007 from the video parker and Manu they was playing good basketball then if today parker and Manu was that they would for sure beat the Warriors.
TheDukeGreat 00’s NBA jerseys were the most ugly and cheap looking oversized jerseys I’ve ever seen. 90’s has the best designs, and present day as well.
@@4Paczjkor I think the 90's AND 00's jerseys were much better. I do agree that some 00's jerseys were bad like the Suns, the early 2010's adidas jerseys were way worse. But the league would be way more fun to watch if they still played with 90's and early 00's jerseys.
It was Tony Parker and Manu's prime at the time. Lebron was just learning how to be a champion, of course would you expect the Spurs to lose to Lebron-ONLY team? I bet even if Lebron had Larry Hughes at the time, they would still lose.
How old are you? The fuck you mean Larry Hughes is gonna make a difference? Ilgauskas was the 2nd best player in that team next is Gooden you can make a case with Gibson too. But Ilgauskas was an allstar together with Lebron. Lebron was just so young and his performance against Detroit never showed up against the spurs in this series. Lebron averages 22ppg on 35% shooting and 20% at 3. His Ecf stats agains Detroit. 25.7ppg 45%shooting and 36% at 3.
When I consider how this series played out and that Cavs roster outside of LeBron, this Finals to me was an indictment on how in the hell Detroit blew that series. Up 2-0 against this Cavs team with that Pistons lineup...... For as bad as this series was, a lot of blame should go to the Pistons for what I think is one of the most overlooked playoff chokes ever.
Meh. Stfu dude. Detroit was a different team under Flip Sanders as their headcoach and no Ben Wallace for Pistons. Plus Lebron was Godlike in that series. Too bad he wasnt ready facing a team like Spurs and the prime Tony Parker here is at his best.
yep..that 2007 pistons roster was 12 deep....i know they lost ben but they had sheed mcdyess c webb maxiell and mohammed davis to make up for it upfront with prince then rip billups plus hunter delfino murray...how in the hell did they lose?...they were more talented top to bottom then the cavaliers...
The Spurs cheated against the Suns that year. And they were lucky they didn't face the No.1 seed Mavericks that year who were upset by the Warriors in the first round
@@kellz1703 bro its not like they was getting blown out his team played great defense LBJ just couldn't take over when they needed him to instead he's missing and turning the ball over
That’s how it should always be but the league now have become even more political and now defense is no longer a thing in the league because they want to “please the fans” with shitty 3 point shooting and having the big names perform well so fans can get their tickets worth. Very little basketball is played out there now with how easy players score now with no defense whatsoever.
The Spurs had Duncan (best PF of all time), Ginobili (hall of famer), Parker (top 5 pg in the league during the time), and Bowen (one of the best perimeter defenders in the game). Thy also had guys like Barry, Finley, and Horry coming off the bench for quality minutes. Oh, and one of the best coaches in sports history in Gregg Popovich. As for the Cavs? They had Lebron and Boobie Gibson.
Don't forget the oberto elson combo and vaughn as a backup to parker and udrih as a 12th man and bonner as a 11th man...finley basically played starter minutes
